The Wolf of Wall Street.

Thu Jan 16, 2014 11:34 pm

After seeing 12 Years a Slave and Mandela I was convinced 12 years would walk away with every thing it was nominated in.
But just watched a Scorsese Masterclass in the Wolf .
Di Caprio is in his finest form and proves in this that he is one of the best actors in a generation. :notworthy:

10/10 all around.

Even Jonah Hill is outstanding...

The Justice Department wants to seize money paid to convicted fraudster Jordan Belfort, the real-life Wolf of Wall Street, for the rights to his story.

The former stockbroker was ordered to pay $110.4 million in restitution to his victims as part of his sentencing in 2003, but so far, he has paid just $11.6 million - and most of that came from sales of his property.

Looks like his struggles continue

My second favourite film of 2013. Nice to see the Academy give Leonardo DiCaprio a nomination over some usual names (Hanks, Phoenix) as they normally hate him. Don't think there's a chance of it winning much though unfortunately, way too controversial/fun for the Academy.

I really think American Hustle is a quality film too! Christian Bale is terrific!

OMFG......Scorsese does it again, just seen it at the Cinema,
It's a cross between goodfellows and fear and loathing in Las Vagas.
