' Nathan Blake worried about Cardiff City '

Thu Jan 16, 2014 8:46 am

BBC Thursday 16th January 2014.

Ex Cardiff City player Nathan Blake gives his views.

Nathan Blake concerned by Cardiff City's Premier League form

Ex-Cardiff striker Nathan Blake is concerned by the Bluebirds' form and is worried about their chances of staying in the Premier League.

Cardiff, now managed by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, dropped into the relegation zone for the first time this season after a 2-0 home defeat to West Ham.

With teams around them starting to pick up points, Blake feels his former side must improve quickly.
"We haven't played well for probably a month or so now," Blake said.
"We're not playing like a team who looks like getting out of the relegation zone. Crystal Palace, they're playing a lot better, Sunderland are on a good run.
“For Cardiff and Swansea, February is going to be a massive month in the history of both clubs ”

Ian Walsh Former Wales striker
"One good result [against] Newcastle in the [FA] Cup - take that out and you're looking at league form we're probably in the bottom two or three."
Cardiff have picked up only one point in the five league games since their last win, a 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion on 14 December.
Solskjaer is confident his new side will stay up despite seeing them lose his first Premier League game in charge against West Ham.
South Wales rivals Swansea City are just three points clear of Cardiff and the relegation zone, with the sides meeting at the Liberty Stadium on 8 February.
Swansea boss Michael Laudrup says four of Swansea's next five games, including the Cardiff match, are against "tie-break opponents" in their bid to survive in the Premier League.
Former Wales striker Ian Walsh, who played for both teams, thinks results over the next month will define both clubs' seasons.
"For Cardiff and Swansea, February is going to be a massive month in the history of both clubs," Walsh told Radio Wales Sport.
"As Laudrup has said you win two games and all of a sudden you give yourself a little bit of a breather.
"You lose two games and you're dragged down. It's as important as that."

once again this isnt LATEST NEWS...............its lets find some negative coments and opinions..........Blake and Walsh should be upbeat and defensive about our two welsh clubs after all its the 1st time ever both south wales clubs have played together in this division.

Nathan Blake would complain if we were 20 points clear at the top and scoring 50 goals a game, how the hell he can call himself a pundit/journalist I'll never know.

i am aware.................but is it really NEWS.

i loved Nathan the player.................but strait after Saturdays game, his pearl of wisdom was, had we kept Medel on they wouldnt have scored the 2nd goal...........i suppose that true, but we were chasing a game. and 10 seconds earlier had a chance to go level.........words fail me..........what he says tends to be random, and not news worthy

If Nathan Blake was our manager we'd be in the Welsh Leagues. He's so depressing its unreal. He's clearly a Malky fan boy still heartbroken that Mr Fist Pump has been relieved of his duties.

Blake in my opinion could never make a manager, not even Welsh League.

I think Nathan normally talks shit but that was spot on from him. Of all players to take off it shouldn't have been Medel. It was tactically inept. He's our only useful tackler in midfield. Whittingham should have been taken off. As usual, he was an embarrassment!

I agree with you, its totally weird! Up there with the Bermuda Triangle, Spontaneous Human Combustion and the omission of John Brayford. There again, there's strange things going on at Cardiff City these days!

Nathan Blake! God knows how many times I have gone on record to comment on his dross, most pundits have no problem putting together a sentence. This illiterate clown goes off course every time, he opens his clapper! He constantly gets lost in his debates, because he has the IQ of a sandwich!

Yes we are in the bottom 3 but we are just 5 points off 10th place ! Still a long way to go yet! Blakey should worry about his day job & let Ole worry about CCFC.
