Now if Vincent Tan came out tomorrow (past rebrands aside) and said he wanted to change your name to Cardiff Bluebirds, would you really have a problem with that? I know that if Hugh Jenkins stated that he wanted to change us too Swansea Jacks, i'd kinda be quite pleased to be honest, and proud! I'm sure that hull have always been proud to be known as the Tigers so I'm sorry I really don't get why they are kicking up such a stink?

Agreed.
I'd be fine with Cardiff Bluebirds.
Hull Tigers are making a big fuss over nothing. Its not like he's turned them into Hull Zebra's and given them a white and black kit just because he went on a safari in the summer is it?

If Hull's name is changed to Hull Tigers, their club has died in my opinion. A name change is just as bad, probably even worse than the ridiculous rebrand we are going through. Good luck Hull CITY!

didn't say posting was boring, just the same old topic re-worded differently to make it look like its something new!![]()
If we survive the season and remain in the premiership, maybe we can persuade his tanship that red isn;t so lucky after all and blue actually is luckier - re man city, chelsea etc
Miracles happen but for now lets hope we get one for survival!!

You seemed to rebrand yourselves, but shouldn't it now be Jack bast@@@s as you have 'borrowed' our chant toward you ?

Get a grip.
They're Hull City - The Tigers as it is. Al they're doing really is dropping City and 'the', a useless word. If anything, it just makes their brand image stronger and reinforces (a) where they're from and (b) the emblem that they fly, in this case the tiger. They should be proud of the tiger as its part of their history.
Why on Earth is that bad for their history?
Why does city need to be in their name? Everyone knows Hull is a bloody city, you don't need to be a geographer to work that one out FFS.
I'd be fine with Cardiff Bluebirds FC because 1. Im proud we're from Cardiff and 2. Im proud of the bluebird flying the flag for the city and its people. I myself am a bluebird and having the name of my club incorporate that only reinforces the bond between the club and the fans. City means sod all to me. I could live in any city in the world but being a bluebird MEANS LOADS TO ME. IT MEANS MORE THAN ANY SUFFIX LIKE CITY DOES.
Im proud of Cardiff and Im proud to be a bluebird. Cardiff Bluebirds FC makes fine sense in that respect and links together the two things I'm proud of.
If you cant accept that then thats up to you. I don't really care.

You say you don't really care about my opinion, yet respond with 7 paragraphs telling me to get a grip!![]()
If you can't understand why this move would be bad for Hull, bad for their fans and bad for football in general, you're bonkers! If Hull's name changes, that gives the green light for every foreign owner to potentially change other clubs names! You would be happy with Cardiff Dragons v Swansea Jacks in the future would you?
