I think some expect him to be Lionel Messi and just pick the ball up and beat 3 or 4 players and score every time he gets the ball.
Hes not one of the better players in the premier league but hes more than good enough for a team in the bottom half of the table.

people around me always complaining when he puts in a poor corner! Its like people expect him to be perfect.
He has had several fantastic games for us this season

Same as around me Paul.
Any time Whitts doesnt get one quite right he has people screaming at him, regardless of how many good ones he hits.
Yet, Bellers put in 3 fantastic corners last week, then he hit a shit free kick in from the touchline but no-one said a dickybird.
Double standards
Saying that the one dickhead by me was screaming at how shit Noone was last week cos something he tried 2nd half didnt quite come off.
it was the same when Bothroyd was here people would rather concentrate on the negative rather than the positive.
Ronaldo could play for us and our fans would complain about him being a fanny in the tackle.

Whitts has been one of our top 3 players this season IMO. The stats put him at number one but to me id say Marshall and Caulker have done well but obviously with all the goals conceded its harder to gauge these two. Without his contribution we'd easily be bottom. Just remember that.

Whitts has shown his ability and earned his stripes. Form is temporary, class is permanent as they say.
He has been arguably our best player for the last 3/4 seasons. People concentrate on him getting burnt out last season rather than the fact he carried us until Xmas. His peers seemed to think he done well last season, he got voted in the team of the year.
Cornelius on the other hand has shown nothing at all to justify what it cost to bring him to this football club, and has not even shown a glimpse of talent that could be worked on.
Age is just a number, if you have got talent it will shine through.

Whittingham has been shit. Are you blind?. Apart from a goal the other day, I haven't witnessed him have a good game. People moan about him because he wastes opportunity after opportunity.

Whittingham has contributed. The stats are not made up.
Cornelius would have contributed more than he currently has if he had put up the goal posts before each game.
Yet people defend Cornelius, a new signing who's rubbish, and slate Whittingham, a true Cardiff City legend.
It makes me sick to be honest.

2nd half Whitts kept our posession ticking over moving the ball from one side to the other bringing our flair players Bellamy and Noone into the game.
Especially when Eikrem come on him and Whitts were always available for each other and kept our attacks ticking over very nicely.

of course he can get one wrong....but his set pieces have been piss poor recently...he ducks out of tackles and is half hearted in everything he is doing.....maybe fatigue is setting in

One day Peter Whittingham will get the credit he deserves. Loyal, rarely misses a game, scores goals, makes goals, just because he doesn't run around like a blue arsed fly, some people think he's doing nothing. He's also a top man, and great with fans, before and after games.
He's no more perfect than the rest of us, but Whitts is one of the best payers that I have seen down the City since I first saw them in 1968. When he was dropped last season, he accepted it. No toys out of the pram, no 'personal matters' like others we could mention. Just got on with it.

Perfect sum up of the man. He is a Cardiff legend in my eyes too. No baggage with him, doesn't moan or groan. Just gets on with it.

Agreed.
If I may also add no moaning or groaning about being played in the wrong position he has just got on with it like a model pro.
