West Ham for Gunnarsson?

Tue Jan 14, 2014 8:59 pm

After West Ham game, a lad I know who I met from Newcastle Home game when we lost 1-0 spoke to Nolan and was a good friend of his along with Sam Alladyce, both lived close to him when they both had spells at Newcastle.

Anyway me dropped me a text about the game and we started talking and he mentioned Alladyce is a big fan of Aron Gunnarsson since he joined Cardiff and is shocked by him not playing more than he should and always said he wouldn't mind him in his squad and reckons now with a new manager and players coming in and going that he will make a move for Gunnarsson so wouldn't be surprised if the papers pick up on this or we find out that he leaves.

Could pave the way for us building a link and then going for Morrison maybe.

Don't know if Daya knows much about Sam but he has always liked Gunnarsson from the first game of Malkys season.

Hope so, without his throw he is crap. Nowhere near good enough for a team trying to stay in the premier league for a sustained spell.

Really is becoming more of a liability when on the field and players have to pick up 2 jobs because of him always getting lost in the game.

Quite shocked when I got told about Sam like Gunnarsson but they ain't exactly the masters of transfers.

Wish we still had his long throw... That would have been quite a weapon

Perhaps Sam still thinks Gunnarsson has his long throw? If so, let him have him and don't say anything!

Won't be surprised if they try and come in for him this window but with MM out of the picture, Big Sam will make a move for him soon.

I hope we get a few million the way they throw money.

WHU - Also looking at getting Rickie Lambert -

West Ham United are expected to step up their interest in Southampton striker Rickie Lambert, with ESPN sources confirming that the England striker would be interested in the move.
West Ham United are expected to step up their interest in Southampton's Rickie Lambert, sources say.
Lambert has been the talisman of Southampton’s rise from the third tier of English football into a Premier League force since Alan Pardew signed him for the Saints back in 2009, scoring more than a century of goals for the south coast club.

His fairy tale rise to the top was completed as he earned an England call-up last year, with his hopes of making the cut for the Roy Hodgson’s final squad for next summer’s World Cup finals very much alive after a solid season in the Premier League.

News that he may be entering his final days at Southampton will be a further blow to supporters who are already concerned that the departure of executive chairman Nicola Cortese on Wednesday threatens the stability of the club.
