" MINI-UPDATE REGARDING AWAY TICKETS "

Tue Jan 14, 2014 8:42 pm

The information below has come direct from the club and sent to all members of the travel group, I made a topic last night regarding the distribution of the Swansea tickets and I know other members of the travel group have also voiced concerns. In an email sent to the group this evening the position of the club has been made clear.

Man City away :

We have sold 2,553 so far and at this time tickets are available to buy for all season ticket holders, gold members and silver members.

There is no qualifying criteria to meet concerning previous away games attended.

Man Utd away :

Tickets are now available to buy for Season Ticket Holders & Gold Members who have attended 2 or more away league fixtures this season.

Swansea City away :

There has been some grumblings via the fans over the Premier Club allocation for this fixture.

We understand (with so many fans travelling) that the demand is exceptionally high for this fixture but the criteria for the Premier Club has not changed in that they get 5% of tickets with a minimum of 100.

In turn because of the number of fans who are trying to get tickets via the Premier club due to the fact that they do not think it likely to get tickets via normal channels has resulted in a massive increase in demand for tickets sourced through the Premier Club tickets.

The premier Club therefore determined a set number of games for their pre-qualifier. They will not get any more tickets above their standard allocation and have no draw on the bulk of tickets and therefore there should be no concern from the 7 plus qualifiers.

really thought that man city and even man utd on a Tuesday night would sell out. just goes to show that people are really struggling to find the money to pay the huge ticket costs.

I'm going to Man City and Man United - missing the Jacks as in Dublin - but I have to agree, it is an expense at a time when we aren't playing well/scoring much/expected to get anything from the matches (Manchester).

Onwards and upwards - just grateful I can go. My father would have been in dreamland thinking we were playing United/Liverpool/Arsenal etc in the top division, love him :old:

I'm not surprised at all that we haven't sold out. We have 5 away games in 1 month in the most money short month of the year. Every one just starting to get over Xmas.

Totally agree with you, also the ticket prices for Man City and Manchester United are far to expensive.
