If Tan rebranded us to this instead, how would you feel?

Tue Jan 14, 2014 5:48 pm

Lets rewind back to July 2012. What if Tan's rebrand proposed this......

1) To change the name of the club to Cardiff Bluebirds FC

2) To change the badge to just a bluebird to emphasise its meaning as our identifier/brand image

3) To play our games in a full blue kit with white trim at home - white kit with blue away from home

4) The reason is brand consistency to make Cardiff Bluebirds more marketable as a package - Cardiff Bluebirds with the bluebird logo playing in blue. People will remember it. Its easy to remember.

5) Its a progressive move incorporating the same style of name as the likes of the Miami Dolphins who many identify as simply, The Dolphins, but it also incorporates the bluebird and traditionalist values of the club. Progression is fine as long as it factors in traditional values

In return for accepting these proposals I will invest £100m into the club in terms of transfers, training facilities and stadium extensions. I want the bluebird flown proudly all around the world but to be effective we must drive home the bluebird brand

How would you feel about that proposal?

No. Nothing should be changed at all.

I think your confused Barney.

The fans aren't upset about us being turned to specifically red, we don't hate the colour red or the new badge we are against the club being rebranded. Be it to pink, sky blue or green.

If you are reffering to Hull then yes I agree Barney its not as bad as our complete colour change.

I would accept that proposal, it keeps the bluebird as the main symbol of the club and playing in blue :ayatollah:

People are allowed to have differing opinions to you. Get over it.

The name is the most important thing at a football club and if we where to change our name that would be it for me.

I would prefer that to our current situation. Would I accept it? No.

We are Cardiff City FC.
We are the Bluebirds.
And we should be playing in blue with a white trim (and preferably yellow).

Would never accept it.
