Definition of a football forum these days ?

Tue Jan 14, 2014 12:20 pm

Forums , what's your understanding of one exactly , especially a football forum open to all fans of all clubs?

It got me thinking this morning when reading some of the abuse thrown around on here as well as seeing some take so seriously and others take as a laugh.

To me it's a place to pop on in cyber space to go and have a bit of banter and kill a bit of time . We mainly work with computers these days and it's a quick place to pop in and visit and have a chat / banter away from the mundane of the normal working day, bit of gossip too and catch up. Rather like popping in a cyber pub , only thing is different Annis doesn't supply the beer , not that he does when you go to the pub with him :-)

But clearly when you read some of the stuff on here it makes you wonder if that's the case these days?

So the question is what is the definition of a forum these days ?

Is it to be a deadly serious place now ?

If that's the case - f**k it ,

Exact same for me, some people take this site way too seriously, just a bit of a laugh really. :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

Completely agree,I take very little I read on here seriously, including the many off-field rumours. A bit of light relief from work for maybe half hour most days.

I am a complete newbie to the forum...I have made comments rather in jest and to sometimes challenge where we are as a football club....

Comparing a Swansea City shirt to a Cardiff City franchise shirt and giving the Swansea shirt a higer-status gets people raw I know that, As a kid I could never of dreamt in my worst nightmare that fans would be wearing a red Cardiff City kit. :ayatollah:

You know they're having a mare when they focus on the grammar

Although to be fair when it comes to people like Swansealad he really does need to get a carer to help him type or a spell checker, just reading the post is half the battle with him
