Possibly because we can only use 2 or 3 over 21's (I think) in the DVP games and probably because OGS wanted to see Cornelius play up front and get some much needed game time under his belt!

I'm not sure whether the age rule counts for the squad as a whole, or just the amount of over age players you can have on the field during play!

I'm also not sure of the ages of all the squad who played tonight, just that Eti would be an over age player, the same as Joe Lewis who played in goal, probably another player who OGS wanted to see in action!

I was at Hull that day and tbh Eti didn't have a good first half, although you have to take into account the lack of big game time he had experienced with us and we provided him with piss poor service, the same that Cornelius has received to date!

Play velonjka up front with Cornelius against Bolton - give them both some game time and save Campbell for the league. These were 2 highly rated foreign players, they don't become bad players overnight. Look at Southampton's young foreign stars - just shows what being treated right and a bit of faith can do to you.

At the present time I think velikonja is the least of OSG worries...........

I have read all the links...Lets get real though, there is no way Malky is going to admit that Etien was bought over his head....He didn't play suggesting that it is more likely to be a Tan purchase as MM would of given him a chance somewhere surely in a 46 game championship squad, fa cup, league cup...the start of the friction possibly with Tan not playing him.

The rumours of Tan's involvement were never extinguished by MM....the reports is all "WE thought it was the right time to bring him over."( MM )rather than the singular "I tried to sign him when at Watford." More likely scouted him as he didn't move to Watford did he.
