We will not be relegated

Mon Jan 13, 2014 10:29 am

IMO only

I saw enough on Saturday to give me the confidence to make this statement

Under mm I felt we would not win or score enough to stay up

Under ole I believe we now have a great chance of staying up

It's clear to see he will get us going at teams and not sitting back and hopping for a lucky break

I believe he will bring in the players he needs and he can trust to do it his way

Get prepared for the outing of some favorite players who are not upto premier league standard

Remember by having a go if you win 2 out of 4/5 games you get 6 points

Drawing 4 from 4/5 games you get only 4 points

I know that is simplifying things and yes you do have to win twice to prove my point

But under ole I believe that will happen under mm I would not of been very confident

For me we the fans must be that extra ingredient and start supporting the players on the pitch it would be a big lift to those playing to hear thier names being sung rather than what is sung at present it's time the home fans took a leaf out of the away fans book as the support away hardly ever stops singing
Any way that's my take on our situation and I'm very confident of ole sorting us out

We're cardiff city we will always be blue :ayatollah:

Agree with you,I think we have enough and will do enough to stay up,we do have some hard games coming up but I'm more than sure we can beat the teams around us at to stay up.

Re: We will not be relegated

After the 2 Manchester games
It's Swansea Norwich Aston villa and hull
By that time we will have any new players ole signs settled in
And we should be playing the way ole wants us to
IMO we are capable of 7/8 points :ayatollah:

Good post and that's the spirit we need :ayatollah:

Re: We will not be relegated

I can see us being bottom by Jan 29 th but I can see us gaining 10 points by march the 3rd , and be up to 13 th in the league . Our season really starts against Norwich . We won't go down actually feeling quite confident with OGS in charge .

I'd agree with you. But without a fox in the box we're doomed. :(

Re: We will not be relegated

I can see us getting points from either Man City or United or both. United look a shambles at the back at times and City are missing seriously good players.

Strange seeing some optimism on this forum, i agree i think we will scrape by under Ole, some people seem to forget the squad is still molding into his style of play and that's not gonna happen immediately also we have a lot of dead weight to get rid of and new blood to come in, have patience, have faith and enjoy the football instead of worrying

Steve,

Great to see you so upbeat :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

I have to disagree with you, I honestly believe we would never have been relegated under Malky, we would of stayed up and if Tan had let Malky be, we would of at least by now had an extra 5 points. Remember what anyone says we were never ever in the bottom 3 under Malky a fact, facts dont lie and its easy to say we were heading that way,but just rem when the pressure was on Malky came through it, rem WBA home. The problem is now we will never know, we can all only now give our opinions.
Malky had to go in the end as it was only going to get worse between him and Tan,just wish it had been Tan gone.

As to Ole keeping us up, I am worried, very worried, but I believe we should ALL support/back Ole 100% :ayatollah:
I believe he needs about 12 games under him for us to judge him.

I am ready for the relegation battle and looking forward to cheering our team on no matter what the results are :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

FFS Annis we were bottom 3 at the end of day 1! Change your mantra, PLEASE! :)

And I too firmly believe Cardiff will stay up, with games to spare. We're only 2 wins from being mid table with half a season to go! As long as Ole fixes the problems in front of goal, which I'm sure he will, there's gonna be nowt to worry about IMO.

Even if I wanted to believe it I cant, because the facts dont lie.
I honestly believe Malky would of kept us up and thats my opinion/belief,I dont just follow like sheep because others feel different.

As to Ole, its honestly to early to tell and thats my opinion.

Your past post, thats your opinion,I'm not attacking you for it.

Just to be pedantic... Cardiff were second from bottom on the first day of the season.

I think we'll stay up as well.
Looking forward to the second half of the season especially with ole's attacking style of football.Agree we need a proven goal scorer asap. It's going to get tough but exciting and when we achieve survival it'll feel like winning the premier league.

Annis, you mention that malky was in charge for the WBA game he was also in charge for the Southampton game where we were dreadful, and the reason he had to go was that even tan realises that we have to spend in the January window but was not prepared to give malky any more money, now with the amount of money he wasted in the summer who can blame the owner for not backing him????

Lets be all really honest by the Southampton game, the pressures of Tan/the worlds media I doubt whether Malky could even think straight, he had to go. But Tan should of done that a long time ago,not let it go on and on and on, it was all beyond, worse than pathetic the way it all went.

It's not an opinion buddy, it's a fact. You're rightfully one for facts, so go look it up. 19th place at the end of day one. Obviously that means f**k all I know, but you can't keep claiming "never in the bottom 3 under Malky", when we actually were. Not in the bottom 3 since the first day of the season is the factually correct thing to say... :p

As for staying up, let's all just hope your worries and fears are unfounded eh? :)

Show me the Prem League table right up to the day Malky left.

Are you not worried about the position we are currently in, be honest?

I agree with you in the way it was handled was shocking, malky was a good man who conducted himself in the best way possible, he also got us promoted to the premier league which i will always remember him for, (to be fair tan helped by giving him £15 million to get us there) i've no doubt that he'll be a top manager one day but his lack of attacking tactics and is overspending on players who are not up to premiership standard was to be his downfall. Yes if he was to go VT should have done it earlier because ole hasn't got much time to bring in his own players with only two weeks left of the transfer window.

Like I said originally, it's pedantic. But still, facts is facts. Cardiff did hit bottom 3 under Malky.. :geek:

But yes I concede we didn't do too bad after that. I do though firmly believe we would still be in this position under him come the end of this month. But completely no point in flogging a dead horse coz we're never going to know. :)

And, hand on heart, at this point in time, no I'm not at all worried about our position. We may well be bottom after the 2 Manchester games, but the bottom half is so tight that anything can, and probably will, happen. Way too much football still to go and only 2 wins away from the top half of the table, with some good home games to come and a manager with goals on his mind. If we're still propping up the table after the supposedly 'softer' games in February, then yes I'll be getting concerned. But as of right now, no I'm not. :ayatollah:
