' OLE WILL LEARN '

Ole will have learned a lot today.

Tactically he got it wrong today.

Campbell was isolated up top for much of the game, needs support and help to compete against the centre halves.

The starting midfield five need to offer more movement when we got possession of the ball.

Mark Hudson playing as the left sided centre half does not look comfortable.

The manager will need time to assess the squad and their individual capabilities but as much as that result hurt us today, Ole will have learned a lot.

I don't think he got it that wrong to be honest Carl.

Your biggest problem is you dont have enough quality premiership players.

Havent seen you play for a long time but there were some obvious championship players out there today.

Steve, but every club on their first season in the Prem carry half the squad/team with Championship players, by the second season if your still up there, they are then nearly all gone.
The Championship and the Prem are miles apart, I said that last season, got shot down and some said were runaway Champions, so it would be no probs.

The first season, Uve just got to battle your way for 9 months just to stay out of relegation.

He didnt get anything wrong tactically as Daya said we dont have enough quality in that side and its Malky's team. Once he gets his players in then we can judge him. At least we showed alot more attacking threat then we have all season but we really missed Mutch today in the middle

Taking Medel and Hudson off and leaving Whittingham on? Very poor! I could see the second goal coming

I agree probably should have taken Whitts off for Medel but he looks knackard and unintrested at the moment. Taking Hudson off was the right choice as we were chasing the game and needed a goal.

Steve is right on this one. Ole was being respectful to Malky when saying he had a solid foundation but noticeably highlighted the need to bring in players players who could hold onto the ball and not give it away so many times. The difference between good championship players and top premiership players.

I think the fact that Ole wants Bellamy to stick around for a lot longer is a sign of how limited the other players in the squad are

High wages/Hardly plays/Knee injuries/plenty of private problems constantly.

I'm convinced Whitts has a clause in his contract that prohibits him from being substituted.

I've said it for months and will say it again, whittingham is a championship player, and he's out biggest reason we are struggling, he's supposed to be our playmaker, the guy who creates plenty of chances for Frazier, whitts just ain't doing it, because he's not good enough at this level. We need a premiership version of whittingham if you get what I mean. Hopefully one of the new boys is out answer.

One can only hope that the private issues are sorted asap as when he is in the right frame of mind like he was today, there is no player that gives as much to Cardiff City than him

Today showed a glimse of what was going on under Malky. As that is the best Bellamy has played all season and it was when he was allowed to attack. He's still one of quickest players on the pitch and was probably our best player when he came on today

I honestly believed that he wouldn't be playing today as was convinced Ole would have seen how much a liability he can be most of the time. The fact that he made it to the end of the game worries me but am hopeful that Ole's planned 11 will not include Whitts once his January purchases have been concluded

He would av learned a lot from today, I agree. He should never av taken off Medel and replaced him with Eikhren(spelling?).
It was meant to b like for like but, Kim or Whitts should av been replaced. Eikhren was trying his hardest to stay deep and do wot Medel does but, he kept venturing forward. Thus, showing his natural game. Today's game proves to Ole and Tan, we r well short, and that's wot we all know.

Whitts looks a shadow of the player he once was! To scared to tackle or get a foot in aswell as to scared to shoot and when he does shoot its with no power! And his crossing was poor today couldn't beat the first man!

Hope he can turn it around!

Nothing to do with tactics some players need to be dropped and a few played bad.

When we attacked it was either to slow or there was no movement.

Dropped and replaced with?

Don't have the squad....

OGS working on deals to get people in ASAP.

Until then it's a case of grin and bare..

Agree to a certain degree Annis, but to be fair the buying wasn't actually that good compared to the sums spent either. Think it's a mix of both. Just look at Hull, their signings mixed with old stock are the difference makers , it was the same for us last season. Your January spending shows the manager has highlighted this , albeit I'm really not sure if you can depend on our Norway signings only time can tell there.

Expensive one to carry BUT going on today, you could easily see the difference in class compared to some of your others

west ham got a goal..and the did what we under malky have done for 30 months.......got lots of bodies behind the ball and restricted us to half chances ,and corners...............at least we tried.........at f*cking last, we tried

Agree, he's not premiership. He's only there because he was promoted hence why premiership managers have never come in for him since his Villa days.

His tactics were fine, we lacked one thing, a goalscorer. But I said to somebody, if Zaha was playing, then you'd have to defend him and Noone, stretching the middle giving Campbell more room. I'm sure when our signings are complete we'll see the football that OGS truely wants.

Re: ' OLE WILL LEARN '

I dont know what game you were watching Carl if you thought Campbell was isolated.

We had plenty forward in support, and if anything Odemwingie was almost a 2nd striker 1st half he was that high up the pitch.

Not every promoted club spends 35m+ though Annis.

That was more than enough to address the jump in level.

Hull spent a third of that they just spent it mire shrewdly than we did
