Is Cornelius really that bad?

Here is a video of Cornelius (i have found on youtube) in his previous club. He looked quite good. He also looked in pre-season (before he got injured) his touch was much better. Also have you guys noticed. How he runs, it looks like he is still injured.
however, for 8million you'd think he would play and look a danger. You could say that we were buying potential but potential doesn't cost that much.

I think he needs time as his touch and finishing in pre season and in his previous club looked alot better.

you have to admit that he looked betting in the video and in pre season. Not worth the amount but not as bad as he has been recently. Confidence?

Exactly my thought. It seems to happen to many of our singings.

Rudy got slated on here when he played for us but he's hell of a better player than Acorn. Hopefully, the young lad will prove me wrong but we should phone Watchdog because we have been robbed

sure, I get that. I just think that it is odd how he looks a compleatly different player to when he was at his previous club. I agree with you compleatly

His confidence is at an all time low, all I can hope is that Solskjaer gives him tutoring to improve himself as a striker, but we can't rely on him as a main outlet, we need Diouf and maybe one other striker whose a strong build. But it's sad seeing how he's not performing when we was meant for big things, similar to Wickham+Sunderland I guess, still only young though so it's possible we can still see some good from him

Spot on but we need to back him & try help him find his confidence. He's highly rated and his yourube video shows what he is capable of. It's sad he's vecoming a scapegoat already. He didn't suggest the fee, get behind him and make him come goid. Embarrassing he's been booed by some.

That's ironic, as I have a colleague at work (a CCFC season ticket holder along with his wife) who made the following statement on Cornelius' arrival...

"I saw him warming up and said to the missus that I wouldn't have signed him, as he can't run...and that's always a sure sign even when signing players for a local parks team..."

Was he right? I guess only time will tell; although I think I might be in a minority of ONE that saw "some" improvement in his cameo performance today, albeit he missed that f***in' header at the end

I do think he'll come good. I think Malky teied to protect him after the injury but he felt the pressure and rushed him back just a little. OGS should be able to work on him now he has time. Anything from the next two games was slways going to be a bonus and should be looked at as an opportunity tomtry a few things out, without going mental. It csn almost be looked at as a mini pre season and we have a few boys going to OT with a point to prove whereas i'm going to get drunk & enjoy myself!

Paul, I hope you are right on Cornelius. I saw a glimpse of "what might be" with one or two of his moves/touches

I think he needs a run of say 6 games where OGS just tells him to go out and play to the best of his ability and work his socks off then and only then should we make any judgements

The glimpses are there but I think he's feeling the pressure of the price tag and the expectancy. Hd needs a little more time snd a lot more support - but you don't get that at the bottom of the table.

As already mentioned in this thread the guy can't run. I don't know if he is still recovering from his injury but if he is not then the guy has a problem as he looks more like a donkey when he starts to run and not much better then he is in his full stride.

He has a very awkward run alot of us have noticed this

Ffs you could put a montage of Anthony Stokes clips from the SPL on Youtube and he would look good but he wouldnt cost 20m total package.

There has been no glimpse of anything to show this guy has got anything about him.

He cant even strike the ball properly when they are practising finishes in the warm up.

When he was subbed on for Hudson, I'd joked that we must of found out that he's really a CB!

On a positive, as he got into the game he did improve. (Slightly)

He was always asking for the ball.......but, should have been looking at the channels to get into to receive the killer passes.

I think that's another sign too......nobody looked like they wanted to pass to him!!

This will sound premature, but after his second useless touch against Man City in the opening game. I knew he was useless.
