Be nice to be relagated

Sat Jan 11, 2014 10:52 pm

Back home where we belong the Championship. Prem is too predicable, top six you know before season starts, then 4 or 5 challenging them, after that theres the also rans like us. Chamionship, no one can predict winner, runner up, or play off boys. And if we did end up in the mix next season wed be far better prepaired :ayatollah:

But then you'd desperately want to get promoted to the premier.

You're the second one who's posted today who wants us to be relegated. Some fan you are. Unbelievable!!!

I honestly can't believe there are people out there who don't want to see their team playing at the very highest level possible. Want their team to lose games? Unbelievable.

I know someone who had a ticket for a game at the old Ninian park and decided to stay in the pub in canton instead. Seriously, he got so shit faced he didn't even know what the score was the following day. Ive seen him turn up at games not knowing who we were playing and often not knowing whether we won, lost or drawn the game.

The problem is mate if we don't lose a game - we stay up! That's not what you want is it? How would being in the conference suit you - would that help?

Failure is obviously your preferred option then. :?

I've been to every league game this season and intend to keep that going in case we get relegated. I want to go to all the Premiership grounds while I can. But if we do get relegated, it wouldn't bother me if we followed Wolves and get consecutive relegations down to League 1. I know that sounds silly, but this season is killing me financially, Tan has stopped me enjoying it and I don't feel I'm getting value for money.

My feelings at the moment are sod the football, it's all about the day out as a whole, particularly on away days. I would take watching a game on the terracing at Rochdale over overpriced, Premiership stadiums with no soul, atmosphere and terrible views any day. But that doesn't mean I don't desperately want us to win every game and I'm devastated we lost today.

Agree with you, the Prem isn't quite what I expected. A lot of overpaid, over dramatic fairies. It's nice having a full house every week and seeing some top players, but the Championship was more enjoyable, winning is more fun than struggling through every game and only winning 4 games from 21.

Give me a playoff challenge with a cup run any day :ayatollah:

We can have a cup run in the PL and also we have more chance of winning it than if we were a championship side. The enjoyment would come with us staying up with a must win game at the CCS or elsewhere. Imagine winning that would be like winning the cup. We've progressed as a club, although certain things are not perfect, however, everyone's now heard of Cardiff.
Who knows where the club could be in five years time - we could do a Chelsea - who knows!

I just cannot believe the psyche of people who would prefer failure over staying in the biggest league in the world. You're not alone in this thinking, there's others that think this way, but thankfully i'd say the majority do not!

Wouldn't prefer failure, I'd be downbeat as f**k of we got relegated. But I'd get over it within days because the Prem isn't as enjoyable as the Championship. The chase is greater than the prize in this case

Interesting post. Fantastic to be in the PL, but what are Swansea and Cardiff actually playing for? To stay up? Clearly, neither of us are going to win the league, so the best we can hope for is eighth or ninth. In the championship at least there's promotion to play for. The cost of tickets etc for PL matches is horrific, without the cost of travel etc. Whilst I'm sure neither set of fans want their team relegated I can understand where you're coming from

A bit of sense there. People are quick to think some people want our clubs to fail, whereas in truth we just wouldn't care as much if we did get relegated

Are you f*cking nuts?? We risk going into 200m of debt and the cost of stabalising the club and regaining promotion and rebuilding would mean we could end up in league one in administration with our shit support we wont have a chance theyl be moaning and booin.

So let me get this right.

There are people out there who consider themselves to be supporters but are not worried if we keep losing because they would like us to be relegated. And presumably then, if we were back in the championship they would not be overly happy if we were successful because they would not want us to be promoted again. and they seriously regard themselves as fans.

Well, there is some serious crap posted here at times but now I have heard it all.
