A great character and I don't see how you can't have the most respect for the man.

Why people have criticised and gave malky abuse tonight I'll never know.
A good man and a good manager,no need to stab him in the back.

After, what - 53 years? - he got us promoted to the top-flight, and it's shocking to see people speaking about him in a way that is difficult to understand, really.

I am stunned by some of the abuse that Malky is getting on here took us to the Carling Cup Final which we only lost on penalties and got us promoted to the Premiership and whether you agree with his tactics formations or transfer dealings he deserves more respect for what he DID accomplish and I wish him well for the future :old:

But also we have those who are slagging the debt and still back Malky after we wasted the enormous amounts of money spent on our summer transfers

And remember OGS has only got Malkys team at the moment we wasted at least 20 million on rubbish I really can see why he got the sack I would have done the same in my business as would most of you posters on here

Being a 'nice' man don't make you a good manager

You cannot doubt what Malky did for us since coming here and I will always thank him for this, but just like some are amazed by his treatment on here, I am amazed by the blind loyalty that also peppers the board.

The double standards of some posters are laughable.

DJ was being hounded for poor purchases and poor tactics but the same people who did this will not say a bad word against MM.

It is absolutely obvious that people are ignoring MM's inadequacies this season because of one reason and one reason only, Vincent Tan. They see MM as an opposing force against VT and it is posters hatred of VT that blinkers their views of MM.

VT is a dick but he gave MM the cash he needed to move up the leagues and gave him the cash to give the Premier League a go.

Without a balanced view peoples pro MM stance looks biased. You cannot praise MM for getting us promoted without praising VT. You cannot be annoyed by the debt VT is gathering without being annoyed by how it is spent.

MM is not ready for the Premier League yet and that showed in the last few months. We do not know whether OGS is ready either but only time will tell.

I thank MM for getting us to a league we were desperate to join, I thank VT for making it possible, but I also realise MM was out of his depth and VT made changes to our kit that were not necessary.

The majority of disdain towards Tan will disappear if Ole keeps us up.

Those that remain disdained towards him will be because of the rebrand. Until he returns us to blue I will remain that way.

100% behind you on that.

This one issue, that is beyond reproach, is unfortunately overpowering other issues. People need to differentiate.

The issue of MM leaving should not be tied into the rebrand argument and this is what some on here are doing in order to further their own disdain for VT.

There is enough disdain for VT with the rebrand alone. :D

Why are people thanking Malky for getting us promoted and then slagging Tan off in the same sentence?

If it wasn't for the Tan's MASSIVE investment then we would still be down there.

What I didn't really like about him on MOTD was that he couldn't be magnanimous towards Solksjaer. Made a point of calling it a 'decent appointment' when asked if it was a good one! For me another example of the lack of professionalism that was so evident in the last few weeks and months.

Well, isn't he being truthful? At the moment, it is only a 'decent appointment'. He's only had two games yet, and he's lost the one that was in the league.

And, contrary to what you say, I actually think he showed much professionalism in his last few weeks. He simply got on with things and preparing the team as well as possible for games. What he had to put up with from Tan was ludicrous.

agree.......if Malky was a miracle worker as so many believe, how come he didnt do more at Watford?.. the answer is CASH..
MM did win promotion but with a war chest, and yes some teams spend and fail so credit..........being level about it though......his legacy? how good is the squad that remains..were they under achieving or simply poor, either way he had to go
