Just need a striker to put chances away

We did mate, we played some really nice stuff at times, unfortunately none of us appreciated it, no chants to back the team, just resorted to clapping corners etc, the stuff was really nice, just like you said though, need a bloody striker who can score

Yes 2nd half some of the best we have seen so far this season, just nobody to finish anything off. it's only Ole's 2nd game it will get better

Thought we played some good stuff second half but need a striker 2 play with Campbell. I couldn't believe the people around me who were complaining at us passing the ball backwards, the same people who shout at Turner every game for hoofing it! Some of our fans are never happy.

Against a weak team it must be said.
A weak team that was lucky to get the first goal then just hung on.
It will be interesting if we play similar tactics against Man City. We might lose heavily but lets give it a go we have nothing to lose.

We played some VERY good football. If Ole can get us doing that after 8-9 days, I'm very confident about our future.
There was too much passing around the edge of West Ham's box, but to be fair to the players, they aren't that used to being up that end of the pitch!

There was no go in us the 1st half, we should be starting fast in home games.
Although west ham rode their luck in the 2nd half, but with 10 men we should have scored one or two.
Why do we cross the ball in the air and never win headers?
Surely with west ham defending the area in numbers, we should be crossing the ball low and really hard, it only needs to come off a few players legs before someone stabbing the ball in.
Bellamy looked lively again today and noone

Spot on, it's what most fans have craved for attacking football and it looks like we are going to get it, it's going to be a hell of a ride to the end of the season

This seriously pisses me off. Constant moaning if the ball goes backwards. People need to realise that a forward pass is not always on. Long ball and lose it, groan. Short pass backwards and keep the ball, groan. We need someone who can pass 60 yards to feet everytime

I thought we cut a few balls back to feet today which was good to see. All our shots seemed to deflect into the keepers hands though. Unless Campbell can get in front of his man we won't score from the high crosses we are putting in.
I'm sure the goals will come though

Agree there

Thought we were pretty awful, back to the bad old days with Dave Jones where if we went behind then the opposition could just sit back and know we would never break them down. Lots of possession, very little cutting edge and very little movement from the forwards meant we were restricted to long shots that we hit straight at the keeper. It only looked vaguely good because West Ham were happy to let us have the ball.

i enjoyed the football under DJ tbh............and guess what, thats what most teams do away from home if they score..defend......f**k we should be experts at how this works we frustrated spurs for ninety odd minutes.......unless of course your playing against a team happy to lose by one that dont come at you.........
bad old days ended a couple of weeks ago,i hope now we have a manager that isnt shit scared to attack......

We had a couple of bright moments but overall very poor. Ole gotta clear the shite out fast or else I'm gonna regret us not getting a maestro like Bielsa.

2nd half I thought we were good, we battered West Ham. Our passing and movement was decent, as good at times as its ever been this season.
Our shooting was lame though, couple of deflections took the sting out of the shots but on the positive side at least the some of our shots were on target this time!
We are getting closer!

We played some good stuff but i think we play too many passes around the area which gives the opponent more time to get into position and defend successfully.
One of our biggest downfalls is our support. Dont get me wrong in the second half we got going when the players were attacking more but our support was awful first half. it was terrible against Man U but luckily we equalised, it was disgraceful against arsenal.

they have been watching hoofball for too long.. i appreciate good passing thoughtful football, which will take a while for our team to develop as they are not used to it.. i feel much more positive about the future now, i just hope they keep trying to play and express themselves, even in a relegation dogfight

We did play some good stuff, we are lacking in a number of areas. I think yesterday outlines how poorly the money was spend during the summer. A lot of players who are all the same, all defensive and lacking any real quality going forward.
It will take a couple of games and players before things start clicking but IMO something had to be done as we were sinking fast.
