Hi again guys!
Here are som highlights from an interview VG (Norwegian newspaper) had with Michael Laudrup today. I apologize in advance for my English writing skills, but I'm sure you´ll understand
The danish success-manager and football-icon Michael Laudrup says to the norwegian newspaper VG that Solskjær has got the requirement needed to succeed as manager for Cardiff in the thoughest league in the world
- I thing he will do well. He got all the requirements. Ha has coached Molde and done well. He know british football, he knows the culture, but adds with a smile: I don't hope he does it quite as well when we face each other on february 8.
- He is at former professional footballplayer at top level, and that sure is an advandage, but in the end it is all up to the players on the pitch. We can have our ideas on how to train and play, but the players have to carry it out.
On the key to success Laudrup thinks that the most important thing Solskjær must do is to accomodate to the football-culture and the general culture in the country he coaches in.
- It is vital to accomodate and figure out the mentality. He lived over here a few years when he played for Manchester United, and therefore he knows the culture and how it works in general.
Laudrup adds that he think the difference between the people of Wales and England are minimal: - They are cute and funny – just as the english, Laudrup smiles.
- It is great to have ambitions and of course they want to place higher then us in the premiership, but let just wait until the end of the seasen and see what happens, Laudrup smiles and add: - The most important thing for Cardiff is to keep their place in the Premier League after this season
