i think ists only now he is sobering up.......
In my opinion we should do away with the rubbish that goes on before-hand and just make it about football and the traditional songs that ENHANCE the atmosphere rather than make is look like boyband loving softies

ThomasC wrote::ayatollah: Hi fellow bluebirds,
I want to consider the changes between Ninian and the CCS regarding stadium atmosphere and in my opinion, the regretable new trend in football of the pre-match entertainment rituals, alongside music blaring through the new high-tech PA systems.
I have been living in Southampton for a number of years and watch City sparingly these days, and to be honest, for a number of reasons I don't feel the same connection like I had in the old days (not getting into the red atrocity this post), and today I have been reflecting upon why.
Ok the first time the stadium announcer & music etc really pissed me off was not at the CCS, it was actually at St Mary's when we were in the Championship, we drew 1 - 1 and the away fans were magnificent as always. The music was so loud pre-game it was a disgrace, can't they let the fans make the atmosphere?? These new bowl shaped stadia are all the same and very sanitized, with the PA system booming!!!
I was there for those games and didn't find the atmosphere too bad. If you want to moan, try Stoke where the PA was so loud it hurt to the point that you can't even think about football for a while afterwards never mind cheer your team.
There was endless competitions for children with prizes given out for the winners, it was more like a ticket to see Mr Tumble rather than a top of the table Championship game!! I have two daughters and would like them to watch City as a fan rather than turning up for some clown to start an egg-and-spoon race.
I loved the old Ninian Park and the feeling that it was one of the most intimidating grounds for opposition fans and players to visit.
I could not get a ticket for the game against Charlton but have watched the youtube clip of when the final whistle was blown and the pitch invasion commenced with thousands of City fans jubilantly celebrating with their heroes (Solksjaer buzz word).
Who the f**k thinks Gary Barlow wailing on about 'the greastest day of our lives' is going to enhance the buzz of something we have waited for all our lives?? Don't you think we know!!!! We don't need fake prompts, we are Bluebirds and passionate about our team, it was an absolute disgrace to ruin the moment like that in my opinion, and am interested to see how you review my first ever blog.

I left the Gary Barlow link
