Vincent Tan considering legal action against Malky Mackay

Wed Jan 08, 2014 1:30 pm

Cardiff City owner Vincent Tan is considering legal action against sacked manager Malky Mackay after signing Andreas Cornelius in a club record £7.6 million deal from Copenhagen.

Tan is furious that their bid to land the 20-year-old could cost the club over £20 million with adds on including a £1.5 million signing on fee and a five-year contract worth £11.7 million.

Cornelius has yet to score in seven outings for Cardiff in the Premier League. He has yet to start a match for the Welsh side.
The Mirror claims Tan remains unhappy with Mackay, who has yet to receive his compensation package from the controversial Malaysian owner, who has since installed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as manager.

"Mackay was instructed to go out and buy a Bentley," a source close to Tan apparently told the Mirror. "He got the funds to get some top quality international players, but Mr Tan feels Mackay bought a Toyota instead."
Tan is also said to be unhappy with the £10 million fee paid to Sevilla for Gary Medel, a figure that could rise to £15 million based on appearances.

Don't blame him, the singing of cornflop could be the reason we don't stay up. Could of signed a quality player for that fee and wages, such as a waste. Toyota is being abit generous, 3 wheeler I would describe him as.

How stupid is this going to get  . Taking legal action because a signing hasnt worked out. Medel a top player who should be playing a higher level than us. Have to pay if we want decent players. Does Tan think we can get top Internationals for 4 mill a pop? Wonder if Tottenhams owner is going to take legal action againt AVB for spending 30 million on Lamela . Very much doubt it.

If he comes good. You can't say shit, or congratulate him on any performances. He has played about 80 minutes all together since coming to Britain.

Could have bought an even worse pile of shit like Whittingham, glad we didn't.

He's played longer than 80 mins. So far on what I've seen he's not worth 1% of that potential 20m it could cost Cardiff. If this story is true then you can't blame Tan for sacking MM.
