Something along these lines...
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/BRAND-NEW-MX- ... 3a89d62d9cA bit more expensive but the software you are after is already installed instead of you having to mess around.
If you do get one then I found google was my best bet, look around the xmbc forums and you will usually find the answers to your questions. At times they are brilliant, at other times they can be a bit patchy, but I would highly recommend them personally.

I got one, payed £89 for it, everything already on it, updates automatically. Helpline etc. Also got one for a few family members, had no trouble. Watched every away cardiff game on it except the fa cup game, couldn't find that, but all pl games in hd. I've had it about 3 months and had my money's worth already. Watched plenty of boxing all £10-£20 a fight. Bt sports, £10 a month, espn, setanta Ireland. U name it and it's on there. That's not even mentions the movies. Any single movie ever made, in hd. Just type name in and it comes up. I'll try and find the item number for one I bought

Even the films in the cinema atm

I have a Minix X7 which is pretty decent. It has been a pain to update the firmware but from 01/01/2014 it will update automatically over the internet.
I use it like a big android device so only use PlayStore apps on it.
I find XBMC a bit cumbersome and a pain to get the best streams on it.
If anyone has a link to an XBMC download that has all the decent HD footy streams already plumbed into it that would be fantastic.

Not same as computer which is alot better, not as good on my 50 inch because the picture is stretched. Films tho are quality and worth it just for that.

Do they need to be connected to your router or are they WiFi? Could I use it on different TVs in the house?

Wifi, u can use any TV

Wifi will buffer, best of hardwiring to router for solid streams, footy is the same as on the laptop but no ads and pop ups there are £5 a month deals that supply all the links in one place, you Don't need them though it's a con, look hard enough and there all there, the films are bang on. But also adult content, box sets, tv shows etc. If your tv isn't near your router then you can buy links for around £20 that use your house wiring. I've watched every away game this year, the box I mentioned on ebay has a 30 day money back guarantee and full support, there not perfect but pay for themselves in a week if you watch a lot of films

I have had one for about 3 months and they used to stream all the saturday prem matches on individual channels on aljazera.
Aljazera have now been stopped showing all the live saturday matches so I have tried to search for the prem matches elsewhere but with not much luck. I have found a few on fox sports and a few on some of the skysports channels but have had to resort to watching a few of the cardiff matches on on live streams such as vip box etc.
Does anyone know what channels now show the saturday prem matches or have they dissapeared for good?

Al Jazeera is now called Bein Sports.
They are currently sending out new decoder boxes to their Arabian customers. As soon as they are rolled out the company will be allowed to show all 3pm games again.
The FA made it All Jazeera's responsibility to stop the pubs in the UK getting satellite access to their channels.

Just ordered a box for £96 delivered. Will see how it goes then cancel my sky if it's all its supposed to be.

Thanks for the info. See when you are looking for live football do you have to search the internet for a stream like on wiziwig or is there an app on there with all the links already in there.

It's good but not worth cancelling the sky for. You can watch footy on there but the quality is not the best, films r spot on tho.

You just go thru a menu pretty easy, the app on my box is called sports devil, u click on that, go thru the menu and try a link, wiziwig is an option on there you just choose a link like online

I run XBMC on a Raspberry Pi. I've got Navi X and Sport Devil on it.
What's the difference between this and an Android box?
What is the benefit of running jelly bean?
And lastly, what other good sport plug-ins are there as I am finding Sport Devil to be poorer this season than the last.
Can't fault the films on Navi-X. XBMC can be run on your phone too. I've got it on my S3. Footie on the go

If all you want is XBMC then there is no difference apart from the Android TV box being a bit better packaged perhaps with a remote.
The benefit of Jelly Bean or any other Android OS is that you can then access the Play Store and download apps that sit on the screen like your average iPad or tablet. I have the catch up TV apps on my screen for easier access to BBC and the like. You can also get a web browser and play games.

Got an android box and as others said well worth the money it cost me £77.00 plus mine had a built in karaoke machine Contained whole sun fly database that auto updates with lates songs bought a couple of mikes off eBay kids had a wicked laugh on New Year's Eve mind you so did the adults.
One word off advice though it's better as a wired connection(Ethernet) plus make sure your broadband speed is at least 12mb or higher

As said above,al jazeera have been stopped temporarily, ive been using the sportsdevil links, wiziwig etc etc, but mash sports is also a good repositry to use

I watched box nation other week on my tablet while missus watched TV lol, perfect picture. I'm working at moment, I'll post a few pics later if I get a chancwe

T
Bought this streambox in november films very good quality.football depends on the stream ,but watchable.would recommend

Ive used offside streams before (was free a few weekends ago, hacked apparently),it was good,im just not happy about paying a dubious company £5 a month, they then have all your details etc, plus they only accept credit cards, call me suspicious but just think its dodgy, may try it once al jazeera is back on all 3pm kick offs though
