Mame Diouf

Seen a fair bit of him for Hanover and he does score for fun. Strong and lively in the box really looks a good striker. Only concern I have is that Schurrle, Kagawa and Sahin were all outstanding in the Bundesliga but been pretty poor in the Prem. Bundesliga is exciting fast paced football and great value for the fans, but I think Bayern and Dortmund aside the quality isn't all that.

Would rather us sign someone like Kenwyn Jones or Jelavic. Lets not forget we are in a relegation dog fight. We need proven prem players in my opinion

Schurrle hasn't been poor. Sahin was played out of position and Kagawa hasn't been given much of a look in.

The bundersliga is as good if not better than La Liga, if he can score goals in that league then I'm for one happy to give him a go.

How good is La Liga though mate? Apart from the top few clubs. Diouf is deffo worth signing for 2.5mil, 100% he is. But I think we need players who will walk straight into our 11.

I got the same opinion on these Norweigan lads, bring them in for sure and work with them, but will they improve our side immediately? Cause that's what we need

I reckon give him shot, especially at 2.5 mil. Bargain that. It's easier to score in the Bundesliga I reckon as the football is open and direct. He'll find defences a lot tighter in the prem and opportunities a lot more seldom.

Got a real physical presence. Haven't seen him enough but his goal record is good.

Not many players leave man utd and improve.

And want 3?? Ex utd players. I see no harm in bringing diouf in, but he's no premier league top draw, he's a bottom premiership club player.

If we get one good player from the 3 ex utd players then I'll be happy

Pique
Pogba
Rossi

(To name a few current world class players, dubbed 'not quite there' for United)......

I said not many. An I'd argue Rossi any day. He's not really improved He didn't want to lose pogba, but my the sounds of it he a improved, an pique he wanted to keep.

Rossi not improved? He leads the line along with Mario Gomez for Fiorentina!

And those three were off the top of my head. I'm sure there's far more!

Good thing is that Diouf is an acrobat and will put his body on the line to get goals. The problem with him is he needs good service and he's not a striker who can create something out nothing himself. However, if he gets the service in the box, which he should under Solskjær's passing and attacking style, then he will score goals for us. I have no doubt about that.

Sounds similar to Campbell in that sense then.... i would like to see him (campbell) get a run in the side when hes not completely isolated.

Stoke's been chasing Diouf for a year and half now. If he was really wanting to go there, I think he would have gone by now. He had opportunities to go back in January but chose not to leave Hannover.

With that said, it's been apparent that he is ready to move on this summer, but from what I've read about him, he was not interested in leaving Germany back in January with a kid on the way. I think he'll just change clubs in the Bundesliga.

Wrong, he wanted to come to Cardiff and hook up with Ole. But he Wasnt allowed to leave in January because Hannover didnt get their replacement in. Close call, but the deal for the replacement pulled out in last minute and we ended up with Jones instead
