£25 million

Mon Jan 06, 2014 7:28 pm

I thought Tan is allowing Ole £25 mill on transfers. So far it looks like 4 mill spent.
With 20m still left, surely there must be some higher profile proven players we could sign.

No need to spend it just because we got it, these players may be just as good as an 8-9 million player.

Transfers take can take time and OGS is still assessing the squad. It makes sense to quickly add a couple of players that he knows and believes will improve the team, he can then take a while longer to tackle the other areas.

No point buying players for the sake of it, if their not available there's fucall Ole can do

its not all about how much money is spent..its value for money that counts.........last saturdays starting 11 cost about 15mil......and 4 of them were here before Malky arrived............5 if you include Declan

Eikrem & Dæhli = £5m
Finnbogason = £10m
Bertrand = Loan

£10m left over to add players for depth. If we don't get in a proven clinical goal scorer we're going down. We don't have one and we don't score enough goals. As much as I admire Fraizer Campbell and his work rate he is not a proven clinical goal scorer. He chips in with a few here and there but he's not clinical or a natural. He'd be better utilised off the bench to either see off games as he presses continously or to try and score due to his pace being a good weapon as defenders tire.

Get in Finnbogason!! :ayatollah:

Its been stated many times that 25m wasn't a real figure

I Can't see £25M Of transfers coming in at the end of the Jan transfer window.

Some players need to leave our squad,which is big enough at the moment,even with players on loan ( IMO ).

Mehmet Dalman flatly denied there was any fixed budget for January transfers when he was asked the direct question at the Ole press conference.

Of course he did. he's not going to say "Yes we have £25million so we can afford whatever price you quote at us!"

Our goals per shot ration is pretty good we just aren't getting the chances, I'll judge in a couple of games whether Cambell can handle it when we start to attack more, he's seemed pretty clinical so far, the number of cynical foals on him recently also shows defenders don't like his speed.....
