New Striker

Mon Jan 06, 2014 2:34 pm

With just Campbell and cornelius our only realistic striking options, Ole must have a striker in mind to buy. If Campbell gets injured then we cud be fukt with acorn proving to be a dud so far.

Perhaps Joe Mason might get a look in, fits the bill, young and eager to learn.

Bit of a risk to chuck him in for the final part of the season and rely on him, he has struggled out on loan in the championship scored 1 in 8 I think.

Agreed, much better striker than winger.

Just look at West Brom last year, he led the team forward by himself.

Pony down west is only now showing some form and he's had much more game time than acorn, he will come good a goal changes everything :malky:

I'm know he has been god damn awful, but I would like to see him as a striker with Campbell and see what he is like, and he if he does bad with a different style of football under Solskjaer, then he can go and that would be fine by me.

Mate how can you say "he led the team forward by himself" when he wasn't playing after January last season because of the whole QPR thing...

Remeber West Brom were Top 4 in Novemeber, when he wanted to leave that is when they declined.

Largely down to Lukaku's goals mind...?

No he didn't. Lukaku led that WBA team (look at how badly they've fallen since he went back to Chelsea) PO only scored 5 goals for them in 25 appearances last season which is hardly "led them forward himself"
