West Ham United announced Monday they have signed Wolverhampton defender Roger Johnson on loan for the rest of the 2013/14 English Premier League season.
Johnson's arrival is timely with West Ham, second bottom in the table, currently without centre-backs Winston Reid, James Collins and James Tomkins due to injury.
The 30-year-old Johnson, who spent the first half of the season at second tier Sheffield Wednesday, is available for the Hammers' League Cup semi-final first leg clash at Manchester City on Wednesday.
