He was a quality centre half for CCFC and more than held his own when playing for Birnmingham in the top flight

From what I've heard from a Wolves fan, he's not exactly been setting League One alight..

Over the hill, a desperate move by Big Sam!

Drink became a huge problem for him allegedly. Really surprised by Allardyce's decisions recently.

Always thought he should have stayed one more season with the new stadium and big season ahead after missing out on the play offs.

I seem to remember him coming in with a few goals around November 2006, after Chopra had stopped scoring for the winter - as he did, like.

West Ham United announced Monday they have signed Wolverhampton defender Roger Johnson on loan for the rest of the 2013/14 English Premier League season.

Johnson's arrival is timely with West Ham, second bottom in the table, currently without centre-backs Winston Reid, James Collins and James Tomkins due to injury.

The 30-year-old Johnson, who spent the first half of the season at second tier Sheffield Wednesday, is available for the Hammers' League Cup semi-final first leg clash at Manchester City on Wednesday.
