I always had the impression Ole would one day take over at Old Trafford, but Cardiff is a great appointment for him now and Moyes has at least two-three years up there.

Manchester United fans want him because he's young and he plays a similar style to Ferguson in the attacking and getting at teams. However, I think they need a manager like Chelsea and Man City have if they are to compete and they need to spend. They'd be better off getting in someone with a great reputation and someone who is looking for the next step up in his career. Jurgen Klopp for example would be a good choice. He's at Borussia, who many will argue are ahead of United as it currently stands and I'm inclined to agree, but Borussia are always playing second fiddle to Bayern these days due to the spending of Bayern and purchasing of the best players from Bundesliga rivals. Thats got to frustrate Klopp and unless he delivers European triumph then its fair to say that due to Bayern's dominance his career is stagnating. He'd be better off moving to Manchester United, purchasing his own players and having a chance at winning the league. Klopp also has an interesting system, is respected and has good links and has worked with Kagawa before so can get the best out of him.

I think the Ole shouts are far too soon from a club of their side and just goes to show not only the fickle mindset of the average Manchester United supporter but the idiocy of the average Manchester United supporter. Their desperate screams are exactly that, desperate. Their fans are used to winning, due to the glory supporting DNA, and therefore this is something they can't accept which is a disgrace as their club is going through transition. I remember how patient we were with Malky first year as he drafted in his players and we just settled for a finish in the Championship playoffs but had no expectancy whatsoever. We knew it was the rebuilding phase for the next season. Their fans don't understand such a mindset and they need 'wins, wins, wins' now which shows their difference from the likes of us. To them supporting a club is all about image and how it looks on themselves supporting a team always winning and what they can get out if it. To us, its about being proud supporting your local team and being proud no matter what because thats a club representing your hometown. It means something.

Having family in Gtr Manchester I know quite a few older United fans who have supported the team for decades and they want people to be patient with Moyes and let him have a few seasons to put his stamp on the squad. Liverpool had to be patient for Rodgers to make changes and get rid of the deadwood like Carroll and Downing who Daya's team have now bought.

Unfortunately, the plastic elements and those who need to win every game are often the loudest and most outspoken as the media often aligns with them to ensure a circus erupts and they have plenty to write about. Thats when owners make daft decisions and rash decisions.

They seem to forget it took Fergie three years to win his first trophy with them. Bunch of assholes!

To the casual observer like me your comments about Klopp were probably an apt description until I started reading the Dortmund forum over the past season concerning the frustration with him plus I've been watching them more often. He is a one system coach, i.e. high press, counter attack, go for the jugular. If that isn't working, he can't adjust to something different. Also his substitutions don't appear to have any thought applied as to what he is trying to accomplish. Klopp is well liked by the fans because he is a great motivator, but many think he's unimaginative.

Bottom line - Klopp is not Man U material.

Different scenarios. I keep seeing this posted on various football discussions boards. Moyes has inherited a title win side (albeit an average one by United's standards) and is under-performing massively.

Ferguson took over a side that were 21st and not as famous or as dominate as they were/are now.

Moyes failed in the transfer market. Buying one player (for 30m) which was a mid-table player at best who is only good when you put him behind the striker and kick it up to him. He has ruled out signing anyone this January despite it being clear that they need a combative midfielder (look how easy we played through them for example) and some half decent wingers.

Basically, you cannot compare SAF early United career with Moyes'.

As long as he keeps us up this season he can go where he wants
