It's because Buttner and Zaha have shown they are not Premiership standard. The two Norweigan's I am very hopeful about however. I also hope Diouf has improved since the last time I saw him for Blackburn where he was a very average striker, but he has the attributes and hopefully he's now fulfilling his potential.

But shouldn't your question be "why is every player we're linked with an ex Man Utd youth/reserve player or a Norweigan"? Malky got slated for his "love in" with Cowie after all. I'm hoping Solskjaer has more contacts than just the Man Utd and Norweigan players he has worked with so far, otherwise we will quickly run out of targets.

If they've had some game time at the club then you can usually say whether or not they're ready but to write them off before they even sign is absurd.
