Blue or red fans

Sun Jan 05, 2014 5:41 pm

How far are we willing to go to get are club colours back.seems to me as soon as we start playing well I reckon most will just forget about the blue like they did before.
Things go well nothing said things dont go so well and we want the blue back.

How serious are we in taking this recent up trend wanting are colour s back.

I think it will fizzle out when push comes to shuv if it does then that is disappointing.

I will never change since day ive been the same and I'll carry on.
What will you do from now on and do you think im right or wrong.

Were all cardiff city fans no kidding thats sitting on the fence.
Tan is wobbling right now of his high perch I really do believe if we carry on pushing something will budge.

Problem is like at the start when tan re branded cardiff city haven't got enough fight .
The football world is supporting us so no better time but I feel it will fizzle out.

We will never be looked at the same then.

Ill fight and keep fighting for my club it deserves it. Really hope you lot fight to but as I say I doubt it

I can see that it hurts you, but you've merely done what a big percentage of our fans have done in only wearing blue and slagging off VT and I can't see that you've done anything noteworthy to fight the re-branding, the same as the vast majority of our fans, who probably feel as helpless as yourself!

The only fans who have done anything noteworthy IMO, are those who have stayed away altogether, but as Dalglish said, that's like being punished twice!

The main reason I asked what you'd done to fight the re-branding, is because you keep putting our fans down for not fighting, when you've not really done anything more than the ones who only wear blue and still go to matches yourself!

Just worried this new push will die out in the end just goading people so we keep it going.
Yes you are right in that ive done nothing special what am I supposed to do.

I really do hope we as fans battle this out we can win against vt its just we need to keep momentum .just saying it how it is about our fans.

Not much else any of us can do other than keep going and thats my worry.

I'm not bothered by the rebrand, one thing I do detest is our own fans making vicious attacks to other fans for wearing red! If you support blue that up to you, I support Cardiff City!

I found the City shop in the St David's shopping centre on Saturday - never been in there before, plenty and I mean plenty of blue in there, as well as red of course.

Got myself a great replica bluebirds shirt - 50s/60s style - tidy :ayatollah:

I was chatting to an old lady in there and it made me both sad and very angry - her husband is 76, lifelong City fan, was wearing a red shirt down the City and was poked in the chest by some idiot who had a pop at him for wearing the club shirt.

This lady was buying her husband a blue shirt so he wouldn't be afraid to go down the City. She had no idea which shirt to get, I pointed her in the right direction, hopefully he'll like what she got for him.

now who knows what happened and who said what to whom, but it gets my goat hearing about vulnerable people of any description being picked on.

I'm sure the tw*t who did that thinks he's a real hard man - was tempted to wear a red shirt myself in the same part of the Ninian and hope he finds me. Unlikely on two counts - one, I don't buy red (never will thanks) and two, I might be a different prospect to an elderly pensioner.

Whoever you are, f*cking behave.

At the minimum keep wearing blue. Make CCS a sea of blue so no shitty red can be seen. Might even shame some to give up the red!

Tan will push ahead and eventually make the seats Red.
He will push for a name change and see a backlash like never before.

The club will remain Cardiff City and The kit will remain red.
But thousands upon thousands of fans home and away will wear Blue,Tan will eventually see that Cardiff is blue and always will be.

Good to here some people ard up for the fight but what I dont like is each of us have a right to have an opinion and I respect that.people having a go at people because they wear red is terrible and shouldn't happen thats my thoughts on that.

Problem is tan has divided the fan base and we will always be this way which is another disappointment the rebrand has brought with it.

Its a mess that needs sorting out now because if we do nothing tan will do more re branding such as maybe getting rid of the bluebirds or a name change.

I will continue to wear blue and do as much as I can to send a clear message to tan.i have and will continue to do this without any violence or abuse of any other fan.

My post is about trying to get all city fans to pull in the same direction to send a message to tan it has been happening and id love it to continue. Hope you understand my point after all we are all proud city fans and tan has made a big mistake in my eyes with the rebrand.

It's such a shame that we as fans weren't able to pull together at the time the rebrand was announced. I think the backlash of late must make Tan sit up and take note. Is it right that he has recently employed PR people to start dialogue with us fans?

No money, no players or any amount of success can make up for our identity, and we should fight tooth and nail to return us to blue. The worst part of this rebrand is the way us fans have been divided. That story of a 70 yr old bloke getting poked in the chest is disgusting.

It's a shame that KCB and BU didn't have the leadership to create a clear mission statement that all fans could back. Credit where credit is due for fighting though. I know the guy gets loads of stick on here but fair play to Barry Chuckles as well, unlike most of us fans he can hold his head up high that he got off his ass and tried to fight for our identity.

If it was just about blue colour and change the badge back you would have much more sympathy. However, some people who want the traditional colours etc restored also have it in their agenda to force Tan out.

I can't sign up for something when people say it's a back to blue protest but ends up with chants of 'go back to Malaysia' and 'you were from the first day you arrived!'

Re: Blue or red fans

Mon Jan 06, 2014 9:49 pm

I support Cardiff City, Ole and the team as it stands.

In terms of football, I have now declared myself colour-blind. It's far easier for me to get on with things and enjoy myself and my life and the things in my life that are far more important than football.

The problems lie with the FA and until enough people within the footballing community rise up against the FA and make a stand nothing will be done. They're the ones with the power to do something yet continously stay silent as the revenue comes in. We all know its the truth.

The only saviour of British football now in my opinion is political intervention because as it stands, British football is heading down the American marketing/branding avenue where only money matters.
