The car will not start and diagnostic shows immobiliser problem but on board computer doesn't. It fires up but won't run.

You can't disable it that's the whole point of a immobiliser however if you know someone with same car you could plug their ecu in and try with their key.

you could try resetting the ecu by disconnecting the power touch the positive and negative together which will drain any power stored in the ecu leave them disconnected for a few minutes then wire them back up?

This is the correct answer. I had the same problem with my c5 this week. Actually been told by someone in the garage it's down to water getting in the engine with all the wet and windy weather we've been having.

Great when bought it but ive noticed now in this wet weather when first starting the car and pulling off when leaving clutch out it kind off judders and wheel spins???? After 5minutes its fine and drives great allday no problem?? Any ideas?

Mines an automatic, and in this weather the same thing has been happening. As you say, once you get going it's fine all day! Really weird! :?
