The most fickle fans in football!

Sun Jan 05, 2014 4:02 am

Look at you all sucking up to Ole! This is all great to see of course, but we have only won a cup game, so don't get too carried away. Some of you sucking up to Ole will be wishing Malky back if we have a few defeats. It's a good start from Ole, but the Premiership is what matters. I will never forget Malky's contribution to our football club and those gleefully slagging off Malky just because we beat Newcastle and you believe Ole has already got us a result Malky couldn't have achieved are fickle and pathetic.

Remember, it was Malky's team that won, Malky assembled this squad, it was Malky's players that beat Newcastle and Malky has got us to where we are! Of course, I will get behind Ole, hopefully Ole will give us an initial lift to get some good results. But how dare some of you dismiss Malky after everything he has done for our football club and the despicable way our lunatic owner has treated him. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Yes we will never forget what MM did for us but football is a progressive game and managers come and go. what? you expected MM to be with us forever? get over it, MM is gone and Ole has had the perfect start so instead of making depressing posts and putting everyone down how about you celebrate the win, tbh we could do without fans like you putting everyone on a downer, if you love Malky so much go support his next team because i support CCFC not who manages the team, the actual team and if Ole can win us games then ill sing the roof down for him, you can just go follow Malky we wont miss you

We put a superior team to us out in the cup with a fringe squad whilst they had players like Ben Arfa in their squad. Of course we're going to be over the moon with that. We also played great football. I am thrilled to see some positivity on the pitch for once not just in tactics but on the face of the players who actually looked like they wanted to play for the shirt again unlike under Malky when a lot of them just looked bored.

Some of you sucking up to Ole will be wishing Malky back if we have a few defeats.

I'd rather put pins in my eyes than watch 10 men behind the ball week in, week out again. I put up with for so long and now its over and i appreciate it was necessary to get out of the Championship but change was needed.

It's a good start from Ole, but the Premiership is what matters.

Of course it is but if we can have a good cup run in the process it boosts morale over all which can transfer to the league especially considering April is a key month for us fixture wise and we'll want all our players on a high. Also the FA Cup is a prestigious trophy. You'd have to be a fool to not want to try and win it.

I will never forget Malky's contribution to our football club and those gleefully slagging off Malky just because we beat Newcastle and you believe Ole has already got us a result Malky couldn't have achieved are fickle and pathetic.

I myself slagged off Malky for a long time before he even left based on tactics, transfers and squad selection. Im not going to hide it from anyone. No fickleness about it with me. I respect his contribution to this club and always will because would we be in the Premier League without his anti football? I doubt it. Anti football is what it takes to get out for some teams. See QPR under Warnock. However, in the Premier League anti football is what gets you sent down eventually which is why even Stoke changed up. Its just progression. If we do well under Solskjaer we must still remember that Malky got the ball rolling in terms of the squad just as Martinez and Sousa both had a part in building Swansea ready for Rodgers to put together the final puzzle pieces and take them up.

Remember, it was Malky's team that won, Malky assembled this squad, it was Malky's players that beat Newcastle and Malky has got us to where we are!

It was Malky's players yes but they were playing under the guidance of a new manager who obviously instilled a belief in them that had been missing for a while. He motivated them and he also made the right substitutions. Lets not try and discredit Ole here. Malky is gone now and whilst I appreciate what he's done he also got paid very tidily for it. Its time to move on. He seems to have done judging by the photos of him having a laugh at Celtic Park.

Of course, I will get behind Ole, hopefully Ole will give us an initial lift to get some good results. But how dare some of you dismiss Malky after everything he has done for our football club and the despicable way our lunatic owner has treated him. You should be ashamed of yourselves!

Everyone is different. I wanted Malky out for quite a long time to the point I left the forum to stop arguing with people. I kept reading and I later saw other posters felt the same, Polo and Craig were some of a few early on with me disillusioned by what we were watching. After another defeat a hell of a lot more jumped on the ship. Bluebird1977 started creating threads almost every match day about the dire tactics and anti football. It was obvious to see what was going on. We got found out and it was bringing the players down as well. Against Southampton they had 2 players drifting in between the lines dragging players out of position and then Rodriguez was just basically having a field day against us exploiting space for fun.

Nobody is dismissing Malky. Well I've not seen anyone dismissing Malky. Criticising him? Yes, and anyone is open to criticism from Malky to the Queen so thats no issue. You also have no proof Tan is the person at fault in this whole affair other than 'the media' who are about as trustworthy as an Al Qaeda militant. To me and others it seemed like Malky was pushing and playing the media to get the sack and his compensation. He's a great PR man and very charismatic and thats great but this is a results business.

I will always respect Malky for taking us up but we need to move on and people need to snap out of this infatuation with Malky and love in they have with him. Its not going to benefit you because he's not coming back here and he's no longer our manager. We just need to move on as a fan base and unite behind Ole and the team and ensure we are the 12th man and get the results we want.

A great start yesterday, but the one thing that did impress me was the stats;

http://www.sportinglife.com/football/li ... rdiff-city

A much more positive & attacking team,,,something that has been missing from our game over recent months.

Good Morning,

Yes I do agree with your posting fully.

Some if not the majority of postings regarding Malky are shameful.

Whilst understanding he's moved on and we have a new man in Ole, I despair when I read in different breathes in one sentence about " negative football " and though the poster then celebrating to our league position above other Clubs.

Yes too it's Malkys assembled squad that won the game.

It's going to be a season of two halves and if the reported five new signings are a correct indication then we can possibly judge the two at the end of the season and then only lightly.

You seriously reckon that if malky was still in charge then we would've beat Newcastle?

52% possession, 11 shots (yes 11 shots which is more then Malays last 3 games) 2 goals and a away win at the first attempt. You can tell by reading the posts after the first game yesterday that a change was needed and fed up of the negative tactics malky was setting out. You got to admit that malky is a great guy but a shite tactician

Totally agree mate. If we fail to best West Ham next weekend everyone will be doom and gloom again. Cardiff fans are the most fickle in the world!

Re: The most fickle fans in football!

Sun Jan 05, 2014 10:35 am

I think Malky was trapped in a mindset which was his ultimate undoing.I also think Malky was the best manager I've seen in my time supporting the club(1973)but I didn't realise how down I was until I listened to OGS's first interview. It was like a call to arms for me and although he has yet to prove himself I feel recharged by his appointment.

Re: The most fickle fans in football!

Sun Jan 05, 2014 10:38 am

I will never forget Malky and history will show he is one of our greatest managers in our history

I am of course supporting Ole, very to early to tell if he will do well.

Re: The most fickle fans in football!

Sun Jan 05, 2014 10:39 am

I agree with OP but not title of thread.

I think us Cardiff fans, more than most have been put through a grinder and it's been Fukien hard.

Malky will always be a legend.
A man of integrity
And a Cardiff City man.

But his football wasn't easy on the eye and many people, including me, like watching football
Not just grinding out results.

I don't care if we are in the premier league at all. I want the bluebirds,
Playing in blue, playing football.

It's oblivious that the relationship has been slashed between Tan an Malky over signings and playing style.

If Malky left to go to a bigger club by his own accord, would the 'fickle topic' be posters slagging against supporting a new manager. Malky is NOT being betrayed, he's moved on.

We move on - ole is in charge now.
Let's hope to better football and better atmosphere in the stadium.

The future is bright, the future is blue. :ayatollah:

I am of course supporting Ole, very to early to tell if he will do well.

People forget that Malky was handicapped by the disgraceful behaviour and attitude of tan and the situation was obviously affecting the players as they are now making known.
Having said that Malky was a victim of his own tactics which to most people were negative and hard to watch especially in the last 15 minutes of most games where the team were tired from the lack of possession.
The one thing that stood out yesterday was that for one of the few times this season the possession stats were in our favour and it's a lot easier and a lot less tiring when you retain the ball as opposed to constantly giving the ball away which was a feature of malkys team.
One swallow doesn't make a summer but I think under ole teams will not be allowed to pin us in our own half for the last 20 minutes of games which could be the difference between survival and relegation.

Steve, they do forget, that Tan was smashing Malky behind the scenes and yes it was not the best of football, but Malky deserved the whole season and I honestly believe we would of stayed up as long as Tan stayed away.

If it was effecting the players then why did they play like they did boxing day yet the day after Malky is sacked they play like they actually cared.

i think they were just as fucked off with his tactics as us.i know for a fact one of them was.

Remember, it was Malky's team that won, Malky assembled this squad, it was Malky's players that beat Newcastle and Malky has got us to where we are! just answer me one question.....when we played southampton malky was fighting for his job....do you think the team played for malky ...because as soon as he had gone we played our socks off against sunderland.... :ayatollah:

can you blame Tan for getting involved after malkys gross financial mismanagement. Irrelevant who signed what off...malky had final say on transfers.

Fully agree.

I was a big fan of Malky, but he's gone now and Ole is the boss - he deserves our 100% support - and is going to need it to keep us up. :ayatollah:

Bellamy clearly fell out with Malky because as soon as he's gone Bellamy is back in training all smiles again next to Ole really enjoying himself. Something is definitely up there.

There has been nothing wrong with Bellers for weeks now....that is fact. Another fact is the "ITK" wont post it because it puts Malky in a bad light.
