Caulker CB, Medel CB

I think this would be a very good cb partnership. They can both play football and both are brilliant defensively. Ole doesnt do cdm so i think his place would be taken up by the new guy who looks on his way as he is a cm.

I think this is definitely an option, other options In midfield coupled with the fact theres are rumours of another central midfield player coming in (wolff Eikrem)

Incase people are not already aware Medel plays centre back while on international duty with Chile.

I'd replace Turner/Hudson for Medel in a heartbeat. SC & GM moving forward/defending could be a blessing in disguise.

I think you're forgetting that Medel is only about 3ft tall...

Mendel at 3ft (alright 5ft 7ins) seems to get away with it for Chile, but it's got to be a set piece weakness. I don't think it would solve our problems in the Premier League.

But yet plays CB for Chile and played as CB for Sevilla. Wiped the floor with Messi.

Not for me.

He can play midfield, he can do the job Gunnar did today.

But that's in Spain where they do all of that airy-fairy fancy stuff on the floor. I wouldn't trust him in the air when balls are being whipped into the box.

I think Gary does a fantastic job of engineering play in midfield. But judging by Ole's philosophy & the mentioning of the new signings I can see Gary in a much more deeper role.

I'd prefer that to the nonsense we have in turner hoofing it to the opposing attacking midfield every game!

I think Gary can adapt tbh, he can offer more box to box.

Understand the drawbacks but defending set pieces we already have big players in mutch and Gunnarson and maybe cornelious respectively. The benefits of having a passing cb instead of turner hoofing it loosing possession overrules the negatives.A lot of the top teams do this luiz and terry, vertongan and Dawson, pique and masherano etc.. yes we are not in comparison with the quality of these teams but i think imo it would work.

I think Ole likes to play a box to box midfielder. Gary can be that guy and let Whitts drift foreword and back how he pleases. Kim and Noone out wide, Mutch playing the number 10 role when he's back.

It will be interesting who he uses and who he doesn't.

I'm really excited if I'm honest.

Kinda knew what to expect from Malky when he took over but Ole offers a whole knew type of football.
