Magnus Wolff Eikrem and Vegard Forren

While both these possible new CCFC players look good ( I think Whitts and Turner would end up on the bench ), did VT know of OGS's interest in them before choosing him as a replacement for MM? Eikrem was born on the 8th day of the 8th month and Forren was born in 88.

I doubt Vegard will sign, at least not in this window. Eikrem is an almost dead cert and Dæhli is far more probable, and if Solskjær signs a whopping three Norwegian players in one swoop he would be risking too much.

If they are good enough why would it be a risk?

Well they could be seen as a 'buddy club', spending the owner's money to be at the same club if they don't turn out to be good transfers. And though I trust Dæhli and Eikrem both would be great transfers, Forren is a bit of a risk, and so are some of OGS's other 'favourites' like Ørjan Nyland and Jo Inge Berget.

And you know, "racism". Norwegian manager comes to foreign club, gets to buy 5 players of which 3 are Norwegian, a country with a poor league and an underperforming national team. What are people going to make of that? They'll look like they were bought on account of being Norwegian, not on account of being good players.

I don't agree with that view, but I just see it coming from a mile away if he gets too Norway-centric.

Like when Henning Berg brought in Joshua King from Man Utd to Blackburn Rovers. Turned out to be a terrible signing, mostly. He still plays and is 'carried' because nobody wants to buy him off them.

But like I said, Eikrem and Dæhli I believe in. Except for Omar Elabdellaoui (RB) Stefan Johansen (MM) Harmeet Singh (DM/ LW) and Mohammed Abdellaoui (STR) those are the only Norwegian players I believe to be good enough for the EPL at this point.

Forren looks good on youtube with plenty of confidence on the ball and a good eye for a pass. I'd rather him to Turner from what I've seen.
