' CAN'T ASK FOR A BETTER START '

Sat Jan 04, 2014 5:01 pm

What a dream start for Ole :ayatollah:

A great win at Newcastle, our first win at St James Park in 51 years :ayatollah:

Our first FA Cup away win in 6 years :ayatollah:

Substitutions made by Ole were a massive difference, Craig Noone and Fraizer Campbell both scoring :ayatollah:

Come from behind to win too :D

It means another game this month that Ole can experiment with the squad but first and foremost he has got off to a positive start and that will surely bode well for next weeks huge match against West Ham. I will be honest and say I weren't overly concerned about the result of today's game before kick off but the fact we have won is absolutely brilliant.

Ole thanked every player as they came off the pitch before he made his way over to our away support and pumped his fist, did the ayatollah and clapped the fans who made the journey up north.

We have to build on this result and take it into the next game.

Hopefully Ole can bring in his first signing this week and keep the positivity going and start to build momentum.

Agree with you Carl. The result wasn't overly important but the fact we came from behind to win is fantastic!

A great start!

Last time we won away it was in North East at Middlesborough on way to final. Lets hope lightening strikes twice :ayatollah:

I think that is was really important to get a result and get us into the 4th round....Ole Needs to assess as many of the squad as he can, and a run in the FA Cup will make that a lot easier.

Well done to all those who travelled. :ayatollah:

To win at Newcastle with arguably our three most important outfield players missing then its a massive achievement. An away win against a top ten premier league club will give everyone a boost

Malky built a great foundation. This guy will put the icing on the cake

Bolton Away.....a winnable game. Would have preferred a minnow at home.
I still think a cup run will do us the world of good because of the situation we find ourselves in.
Could be good for the new signings reportedly coming in and our fringe players to get match fit.
