Swansea and Cardiff are thought to be keen on landing Javier Hernandez on loan from Manchester United this January, SportsDirect News understands.
Although the Mexican international has long been linked with a host of top clubs from around the continent, his lack of action in the United first-team this season has seen his stock fall somewhat, leaving two sides in the bottom half of the Premier League table to try their luck with offers for him.
Swansea are looking for extra options upfront this month after an injury to last season's top scorer Michu, as well as Wilfried Bony's inconsistent form since arriving at the Liberty Stadium this summer.
Cardiff are also keen to target Hernandez, with new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer likely to try several raids on squad players from his old club.
Youngster Jesse Lingard has already emerged as a target for the Norwegian, and a new quality addition upfront is also seemingly a priority.

Buttner is not something to dream about. He is absolutely not what we need. He's a shit LB but a decent winger, and honestly if we want defensive stability he's no improvement over what we have now. Our money could be better off spent elsewhere, and honestly if he were ever a target i'd rather have John in defence than him.

I agree though Lingard is a really good player. Would be happy with him on loan. Could do a Ravel Morrison and come from nowhere.
