The talented England under 21 international has been a long-term target for Michale Laudrup, and the Dane has now made his move with the backing of chairman Huw Jenkins.
Jenkins today confirmed the Swans had contacted Blackpool in recent days as the Swans look to secure the services of one of the Championship's hottest properties.
Ince almost joined rivals Cardiff City in the summer for £8m , but turned the move down despite visiting the club's training ground and agreeing contract terms with former boss Malky Mackay.
A fee of just £4m could now be enough to land Ince, though, with the player's contract due to run out in the summer.
“Tom Ince is a talented player and he is someone we are looking at,” Jenkins said.
“We made an approach in the summer and have done again for this window, but it is up to Blackpool. He is their player.
“If and when there is a possibility for him to leave, then we would be interested," he told the Daily Mail
The Swans could face a battle with Cardiff for Ince's signature, but it remains to be seen whether Vincent Tan would sanction a move for a player who has already snubbed him once.
Jenkins also denied reports linking the Swans with a loan move for Liverpool winger Raheem Sterling.

One thing is for sure Dad certainly hasn't done Blackpool much good in this, as the club will end up losing millions of pounds on the player.

Of course he will. And the boy will get a 2 or £3m signing on fee, and £50k+ a week in wages, as he's a free agent. Why would he sign for you or us? Him and his dad have played a blinder here, but whoever is in charge of the situation at Blackpool must be thick as f**k!

Gotta agree with this!.... Is Oyston still in charge there, he must be desperate to cash in now as all they'll get in the Summer is tribunal money.

Given football these days, that wouldn't leave us with many options
