Jeff the Norwegian church is by the bay, Llandaff is to the north of Cardiff. You are right about the Scandanavians, very nice people and although expensive to live in their economies were not effected much by the credit crunch because they were careful during the good times. They also speak fantastic English and love their football, especially English football.

Georges marvellous medicine was the best childrens book ever.

If you look over the books he has released it's ridiculous. Films which have millions wouldn't have existed. Like Gremlims, Chitty chitty bang bang, matilda, willy wonka etcccc

The twits, BFG, three witches, James and the giant peach, fantastic Mr Fox etc etc.

It's mental, most of his stories are two tiered both adults and children enjoy them, think his books/films will still be talked about in 200 years time.

thats the one.i took a detour going home on the friday after blues lost 2.1 at ccs .id been down the gower.it is nice down there.the church is looked after well.
yes the scandi,s tend to be cool headed and base things on facts not emotion.it,s expensive but the wages are decent.a lad off my estate is living there now with a lad from here who has lived there for years.let,s just say the recent recruit dont come back too much.only to see his elderly mother.i met a norweigen in israel.the kid had shakespheres entires works at home  they put us to shame really.im glad our youngsters have more interest in foriegn languages than my generation.i just saw ogs on sky 1 fantasy football.as he got the ccfc job they re=run his top 1-11.the lad has a lancashire twang to his voice.comes across very well.i think it,s worth pointing out to people who question the one yr rolling contract.this man is a very loyal type.in his pomp he could have left man utd for more games /money,he chose not to.i think you have a good un in ogs.

I posted in another thread about a young Norwegian lad I met in a pub in Cardiff a few years ago, he was travelling over here for 3-4 months. West Ham were on the television in a cup replay match and he was a massive West Ham, was going to see them end of his trip. I got talking to him and the kid could reel off West lineups from the 50s! He was only 21, his passion for the club shone through despite never having seen them play. Knew plenty about the game and supported a Norwegian team equally as passionately.

Norway was an important source of timber for the South Wales coal industry during the last Century or so, & Cardiff was the home of many Norwegian Seafaring Captains, seamen, & their families,,,specially in the late 18 & 19th Century.

There is a section to their deceased in Cathays Cemetery.
