Cardiff City rekindle interest in Joseph Yobo -
Cardiff City have rekindled interest in Fenerbahçe defender Joseph Yobo according to Turkish newspaper Fanatik.
The Bluebirds want to strengthen defensively over the winter transfer window after conceding the second highest number of goals in the league - 33.
Yobo has a lot of experience playing in England having spent eight seasons playing for Everton.
The 33-year-old has struggled for playing time under new Fenerbahçe manager Ersun Yanal and has only made one league appearance this season.
Fenerbahçe are facing pressure as competition for foreign spaces increase.
The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) introduced a ruling last summer only permitting 10 foreign players per-club in the and allowing only six foreign players on the field at any one time for the 2013-14 season.
The Yellow Canaries currently have 10 foreign players on their books.
Cardiff came close to signing Yobo last summer however, the 33-year-old was reluctant to move away from Istanbul due to his family having settled into life in Turkey.
"My son goes to school in Istanbul and my family is happily settled in the city. I have no intentions of leaving," Yobo said.
Yobo is now reported to be open to a move in order to boost his chances of earning a recall to the Nigerian national team ahead of World Cup 2014.

very overrated the only reason he has so many caps for holland is because holland never had any good center backs for a few years

A 36 year old uncapped Sylvain Distin is keeping him out of the team, now there's a fantastic player.

Yeah, I believe we can get far better. He hasn't featured once this year in the league, not for me.

If he hasn't featured at all then I would say no, if he has played a few fair enough.
