' Mehmet Dalman '

From day one he declared we only had one choice for the hot seat. To be fair to the guy he deserves every credit here in getting his man first time around. If Tan gets his PR improved dramatically and Dalman works as the interlocutor between the pair then lots of positives to look forward to

fully agree.

Dalman looks like our best signing since TG left

Re: Mehmet Dalman

Agreed.

I just wish Tan would get rid of Lim altogether and let Dalman man be the voice of Cardiff City.

Wait until we lose a few games then you'll be hating him again.

It's an exciting time, I don't know why though.

Never heard a good word come from Lims mouth. Comes across as the biggest hanger on who knows jack about football.

Citygent

Your use of 'interlocuter' in this sense is strangely apt.

One of the definitions is as follows:

2. The performer in a minstrel show who is placed midway between the end men and engages in banter with them.

It's an exciting capture, but nobody is going to be doing cartwheels until the fans are as one again

I prefer the other definition but that one will do nicely :D

Credit to Dalman for getting his man. Just seen the conference, he spoke really well and wants to play an attack minded game. That's music to my ears.

He has done an amazing job in fairness, now all he needs to do is get Lim out!

Re: Mehmet Dalman

Watching that impressive press conference, it's 100% that he never turned us down at any stage. Dalman sealed the deal fairly soon. OGS even asked his son what he thought of moving to Cardiff

"But Dad, it says on the Internet you've turned them down!"

lim is tans fall guy for when the shit hits the fan. when they find themselves in trouble for leaking private and confidential information about players contracts to the press it will be lim who gets the blame despite the order coming from tan.
and make no mistake the premier league are already on our case over it and in extreme circumstances can mean point deductions.

Credit to Dalman he's managed to get the number one target. Now if the lunatic Tan will just keep out of the headlines and stay in the background then maybe Dalman will be able to repair the damage caused over the last few months.

Perhaps valleyjack is suggesting a rebrand down at the Liberace Stadium! He wants them to play in green.

I've posted before that he is one smooth operator - see pre-season presser he did with Mr Tan on CCW.
He is an investment banker by profession which requires that smooth comes without asking and sharp, ruthless and results orientated follows immediately behind.

Far above anything we have seen here before.

P.S.
We must realise we are in the big league now. BBC and ITV national six o clock news tonight and nothing to do with aggro!
Parochial squabbling and narrow views will be the death of CCFC if we are not very careful.

Cardiff City chairman: 'Ole Gunnar Solskjaer the right man for the job'

By Mark Langshaw, Reporter

Last Updated: Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 23:28 UK
Cardiff City chairman Mehmet Dalman has insisted that the team's new manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is capable of succeeding in the Premier League.

The club executive said that he has "no doubts" that the former Manchester United striker will excel as a coach in the English top flight.

"He has played and won at the highest level as a player and has been successful in Norway," Sky Sports News quotes Dalman as saying.

"He is coming here to prove something to himself and to Cardiff. I had no doubts from day one, so I do feel like the cat that got the cream."

Solskjaer's predecessor Malky Mackay was dismissed following a high-profile falling out with Cardiff owner Vincent Tan, but Dalman is adamant that the new boss will not experience such issues.

"We changed the structure. Until I arrived the board had never met. That was number on," he added.

"The manager will say what he wants: A, B and C. I will go to the board and say, 'Do we have that money?' It gets authorised. It gets signed off. The manager goes and does his thing. Everybody is on the same page.

"Before that did not exist. We have got transparency between the football side and the business side."

Solskjaer's first match in charge is this weekend's FA Cup clash against Newcastle United.

Dalman didn't give nothing away for the budget and replied very quickly and the media couldn't get a sniff. :D

He was like that in the whole of the conference. Giving short answers to quickly end the subject
