Björn Bergmann Sigurðarson

Remember when we were desperate to get this guy but moved to Wolves because of the Icelandic manager. We had bid 2.5 mil for this kid who struggled to score in the championship and not even setting league 1 alight. I generally think Malky had a weakness with signing foreign strikers. For example him and Velikonja who Malky did state he had been scouting him from his time at Watford. On the other hand really looking forward to see Ole's movement in this window. He knows what makes a top striker. :ayatollah:

So thankful Wolves took him.

I was a bit disappointed but he has proved to me that I shouldn't have worried.

You think he was the best player in the Norwegian top division for nothing then?

His coach at Lilleström, champion in Sweden with Elfsborg; Magnus Haglund, said he was the most promising player in the Nordic countries since Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Lars Lagerbäck, who knows all about him, wanted to use him in the World Cup qualifiers, but sadly Björn (he has one cap) declined, because of niggling injuries and that he wanted to concentrate on cementing his place in Wolves' starting eleven. The national team's loss was nobody's gain.

Chances are he'll be moving on in the next few days. Solskjaer might buy him. Look out for them news ... ;)
