Are fans fickle?

Thu Jan 02, 2014 6:58 am

Are football fans fickle - less than a week after malky's departure as Cardiff's manager chants of his name have seemed to stop and everyone is looking at who will be the new manager, yesterday Vincent Tan was wearing a blue top instead of his usual red, if this continues and Cardiff secure another season in the top flight will all of the shenanigans of this season be forgotten, who knows, but before supporters from other clubs jump on the band wagon and say they wouldn't allow this to happen to their club - don't fool yourself, are we all just fickle fans?

Spot on

Those supporters who were screaming tan get out of our club will all be speculating who we will be spending the 25 million on in the next week.

A fortnight ago City fans were praised for the loyal support shown to Malky at Liverpool & the hate was aimed at Tan, a week later after Malky departed opinion was divided & a lot criticised Malky's management, now he's all in the past & everyone seams to be creaming over a new manager & how much the lovely Mr Tan is going to give him to spend & not a bad word sung against our lovely owner yesterday,he puts on a blue jumper & everything becomes rosy, they say money talks .

To coin a phrase

A week is a long time in football.

Malky is a city legend, Tan is still a tw*t.
I remember posts stating Malky as not good enough when he came.
You can't please everyone.

2 things are clear over this past few months.
1. Malky signings, selections and team strategy had divided fans
2. Tan rebrand and meddling has divided fans. (Any time from now on, Tan will receive a backlash for any bump and blip of the team)

What we have to do is support the 11 on the pitch
Tan wrongly or wrongly has invested big time.
Perhaps this new manager can make us fans united :?

We,ve been crying out for a goal scorer since Malky came.
Whitts can't get his midfield goals how he's being played. And bellamy doesn't even play let alone score many.

Most managers and pundits say we are good but have nothing up top.
Now we have brought in a striker to manage us

We have to keep moving, players move on, managers move on. That's football.

  He was the fooker everyone was threatening Tan there would be a riot if he was no longer here  , i would'nt be surprised if next home game Tan will be greeted with "I'm not worthy"bows with Tan giving Queen style hand gestures back to his worshipping crowd.

I guess we are fickle as fans, yeah. But there are millions of opinions in football and most of them mean nothing.

Is there ever a right thing to do as a fan? You're damned if you do and damned if you don't. If you throw your support behind the new manager and start singing his name, you're labelled as pro-Tan and accused of forgetting Malky. If you dig your heels in and refuse to go along with the fact we've got a new manager, you're accused of not getting behind the team.

Just this last week, I've seen people throwing all sorts of mad opinions about, such as with Cornelius ("he's shit" etc) when he's only played a handful of 10 min appearances here and there.

Then we've got people crying out and saying we should dump half the squad, even the likes of one or two players who've barely made an appearance and are written off as supposedly "not Prem quality". How do you know???

Two fans can watch Whiits play; one will say he was great, the other will say he was crap.

I guess the only opinion that matters as a fan is your own...
