Would him taking the job affect any pay out? Malky would end up with double pay if he gets a job AND gets his contract paid up.
I suppose that's why clubs put managers on gardening leave, if you have to pay them why not keep them contracted.

Good luck to him, deserves nothing but best wishes after guiding us to promotion and giving us a fighting chance to avoid relegation after 19 games.

I remember that we started slowly under Malky and I only felt he could keep us up because he knew the players and had been with us a while. If he goes to West Brom then I can see him taking them down. Good in the long term for them but a poor decision if they are hoping to stay up.
