david kerslake (unbelievable quote)

Mon Dec 30, 2013 2:26 am

The players found out (about Mackay) via the TV. I guess they are only human and they have probably been on the phone talking about it.
"The way we came out the traps today they certainly put it behind them.
"The manager has asked for that start for the last two-and-a-half years and to come out all guns blazing. For 35-40 minutes, we blew Sunderland away."

THE MANAGER ASKED FOR THAT START FOR 2 AND HALF YEARS..AND THERE WAS ME THINKING MALKY TOLD THEM TO CAMP IN OUR OWN BOX AND GET TURNER TO LUMP THE BALL FORWARD... SILLY ME

strange strange thing to say tbh................it didnt sound rite when i heard it...........but where do you start?
players didnt respond to Malky?..........came up with the 7 2 1 formation themselves?..like you i never thought there was anything wrong with effort,commitment,desire.......i just thought they were told to defend for their lives........and pinch the game from our 2 corners.

Kerslake is pointing out to potential employers that Malky is not always negative and does want to attack. He answered as if he was asked to give Malky a reference.

I totally disagree with how VT is going about everything at the club and in no way am I defending him. It just seems that this situation and series of events thickens every day.

totally agree with you, great commitment, but the man was a football killer, very depressing to watch.id rather lose 4-0 trying to win than watch the shit he produced every week.

During a Kenny Rodgers advertised commercial break.

Come on Top Cat keep up with the times :-)

Actually Lim and Borley went to the training ground to pull the trigger.

The players and staff were training , and the news once the trigger was pulled broke fast .

Press everywhere of course as it was expected.

MM gave a very emotional speech to his former players before departing.

It wasn't as if they were just watching TV

Although Mark Hudson Club captain had finished training and was in the pavilion reading AAMB and that's how he first found out.

He's an avid reader especially since he's had so much time on his hands.

He does post but won't say under what alias.

i think we will see hudson on the pitch soon.. if we get a footballing manager, as hudson is a good defender but also good at linking with the midfield, comfortable with the ball..his lack of pace is made up for with his positioning

I've always felt we have some players that fearbetter teams and dont have the confidence at this level.
maybe thats the problem

judging how they went after sunderland, now malky has gone, our creative players tried to express their selves and at least tried to win the game,,unfortunately old habits kicked in for the last 15 min.. but theses can be ironed out in time once the confidence increases a little. just need to defend higher up the pitch, and when they have the ball, try and keep it.
