Nah, I think a 'new' manager (assuming he is quality) will relish the chance of going up against the "big guns" with nothing to lose and a lot to gain
He can either blame the squad he inherited (if we lose) or show how good he is (if we take anything at all)
Either way, why would a manager want to come in AFTER the transfer window has shut and he cannot place his own 'stamp' on the playing squad? Certainly not because he can 'pit his wits' against two or three of the top clubs in the Premier League, if not the world!

Well he's not going to lose all the jan games is he, because he will be coming after the arsenal game and we have west ham at home.
