Let's start backing the team!!!

Sun Dec 29, 2013 9:30 am

I thought the crowd was shit yesterday. The team needed us the most to get them over the line and some were more concerned at chanting pointless tan songs FFs. I'm prob in the minority now but I'm bored of it.
Noone made vital tackle at one stage and have Sunderland a corner but there was a group by me that didn't see the tackle more concerned at trying to start the songs that are quite honestly stupid!
The team need us to sing and chant to support them that should be our focus now.

A change was def needed at this club Malky was taking us down without a fight. Let's hope new manager gets fans support cos he will need it

I think there was an outpouring of sympathy onwards Malky from paying supporters who appreciate what he (Malky) did for us since his arrival at the club (plus a few whose only agenda was to use Malky "to have a pop at Tan" as they have been doing for some time in recent times

I've always tried to separate the two (Malky's work and Tan's mischief) and I was happy to show my gratitude for Malky's time at our club. However, it did get a bit silly towards the end when fans needed to get behind the team on the field itself!

I think/believe Malky himself would have wanted that and would say "Thank you, folks, I appreciate it, but now it's time to get behind the team and move on..."

We have a longish break before the 'Ammers come to town, so let's take the opportunity to sit back a little and see what develops at the CCS before destabilising the club (and particularly the players) any further. The world and the media are watching; and they are now starting to laugh at the fans (for our relative lack of action in the beginning) as much as they are laughing at Tan...

Either way, it is the name of Cardiff City Football Club itself that will really suffer...not Tan and not us as individuals!

Thats just it, its not time to move on until this is all sorted.

Without getting it sorted we will all be waiting for the next pathetic episode.

Tan needs to start winning the fans over or he needs to move on.

Ian, I couldn't agree more. It's not time to move on yet, but maybe it is time to sit back a little and "see what happens next" (and by that I mean the new managerial appointment and all that entails) as that will be very 'telling' IMHO of whether Tan is able to take this club in the right direction and in the right way with the right people in place

If it goes wrong, I think he will have a lot of egg on his face from many directions (including the one place he would absolutely hate to be seen as a failure; Malaysia and the Far East!) :laughing6: :ayatollah:

He has a number of options Sven. Only one suits me at the moment but there are a couple more that would dampen the ill feelings. Just dreading what he is going to do next.

absolutely spot on - it no coincidence that the atmosphere was really flat five minutes after we scored on both occasions as some muppet started singing Malky songs, which were obviously audible to the players who in fairness busted a gut to try and get us a result yesterday. Must have done wonders for them to hear their efforts appreciated like that. They just don't seem to understand...

You're probably right, but relegation seems preferable if it means ridding the club of the Fool's Gold we've naively accepted. This will appear disloyal to some, but epitomises loyalty to others.

I know, fella. We'll just have to wait and see...with bated breath!

Would be interested in hearing your preferred options, as you are usually pretty reasoned in your approach ;)

My overwhelming option is a return to blue. Do that and I dont care what happens. However its one of those things that if it was to happen I'm sure I would start thinking of other things again.

In the meantime I would like to see the Chilian Bielsa come in as manager. A long shot I know but that is how far it needs to go to dampen thinga around here for me.

OGS/Ince/Montero etc in whatever capacity and I will sit back and wait with my arrows primed.

If we go so far as bringing that Turkish guy in then I just think I could not take anymore. Relegation will be a relief.

Can't argue with any of that, fella :ayatollah:

The first two would be 'perfect', whilst the third would be 'interesting', and (luckily) the fourth a 'non-starter' according to Mehmet Dalman ;)

Fingers crossed your 'dreams' come true :ayatollah:

For the first 20 minutes yesterday I thought the atmosphere and the crowd were brilliant. Cardiff city supporters at their best. It showed in the performance as well, best effort for ages.

Then we had the Malky songs which seemed to start in the Family stand. Even though I'm one of those who thought it was time for him to go (his press antics were the ones making us a laughing stock) I still thought fair enough lets clap and thank him for what he'd done towards getting us where we are right now.

Then some mindless idiots gave it the anti Tan song and for me that's where the atmosphere changed completely. We went from huge team supporting noise to the oppo fans singing "your support is effin shit" in 15 minutes.

For me that was part of the reason we threw away 2 points. The other was believing we could settle for the win with only 70 minutes gone. To take off our 2 best and only really creative players to bring on Gunner and the frankly rubbish Cowie with 20 plus to go gave us no outlet. I think this sit back and try not to let them score approach is what's done for us loads of times already this season.

Wasnt at the game so cant preach to those that went, but i believe the malky chants should have been before the game. Sing for Malky non stop and loud as you can, the guy deserved it. But for 90mins and after the game, it should be about the players. they slogged there guts out.

I get the malky chants before hand. But we can sing malky chants every game, but he isnt returning. The king is dead long live the king is what is needed now.

Agree 100%, get behind the players during the 90 minutes demonstrate and sing songs about Tan all you like outside the ground but inside back our players because their going to need it. We are now in a dog fight support your team.
