Would you take dropping down divisions to get rid of Tan?

Sat Dec 28, 2013 11:24 pm

Ever since I started supporting the club my dream was always to see City in the premier league, if I had it my way we wouldn't of sold our souls to get there. The current situation at the club is not enjoyable, every week there seems to be a new drama. This is not the idea of fun I had invisioned of the premier league, I would HAPPILY take consecutive relegations to drive the parasites running our club OUT. I know every other topic on the forum is about the current dramas but I wanted to see the opinions of others..

The reason I put no is because I really believe IF he listened to fans and turned us back to blue he could be a great owner .
70% of the things he has done have been brilliant its just his attitude sometimes towards the football side which he should stay out of and that includes the rebrand .
If he just stuck to what he's good at and that's the buisness side he would be fine , just a little eccentric

It will always be the same mate. Clemo, Kumar brothers, Hamman, Riddler, they were all robbing cunts in it for personal gain. Now we have forums and social media with people stirring all sorts of shit all day so the average Joe doesnt know the wood from the trees.
Would you rather watch Premier league footballers with the circus going on around you or would you rather watch division 4 footballers with the circus going on around you? Those are the more likely options

how is this even an option.......
i supported Cardiff in the old 2nd division, down,up,down, down again, etc and now prem.
the crowds vary with success, always have always will..any fool can vote but the reality is people prefer a club that wins.
and nobody sold their souls either............some like to tell others they have just to feel better about themselves

People really have to stop saying the "sold your souls" and "stripped us of our identity".

When tan was going into the dressing room etc I was thinking if I had put that much money into the club and Taylor and turner were playing shit I would deffinately do the same except I would go in with a sawn off shotgun to emphasise my point.

Why? From the outside thats exactly what it looks like. The vast majority were dead against red and then tan called your bluff and gwyn and the lads got to work. If thats not selling your soul what is?

How many sold their souls? ????? Because in context of how it used it refers to every city fan? And that's obviously not the case that's why it shouldn't be used, our true identity is our name! !! Still have that last time I looked. :old:

No it's not. Tan had us by the balls with finances, annis said worst scenario would be League 1. But that could mean lower gate receipts, less income and debts building up. As proven, even if we fought for our colours nowt would happen, he would've changed the colours regardless and given malky f**k all.

People need to man up you cant have it all your own way all of your life. Part of life's lesson is we have to embrace and take on change in order to gain succes.

If anyone wants to cut off their nose to spite there face over a blue shirt and jeopordise our own city and our own players the chance to fulfil their potential.

Then you need reality checks on how good a fan you actually are. Are your needs and wants that important that players and our city alike should suffer

So you want us to lose and get relegated?

That question is open to anyone who is saying they are happy for us to get relegated if it meant Tan going.

I am not attending anyhow, not even watching on TV or internet...so I am not hoping for or against anything

but tbh in this current situation, I don't care if we get relegated or not, as long as TAN fecks off to where he came from...

I would prefer being in the Championship, League One or League Two over the Premier League if it meant that we played in blue again, yes. Do I want us to lose games? No, of course not. I still celebrate goals like I did before the rebrand.

Yes, if it would guarantee Tan sold us to a new owner who would restore our history and have a better understanding and respect of us fans and the people of cardiff and south wales, then yes i would reluctantly take relegation.

This dictator has divided the fans, made us a laughing stock, put us in more debt, changed our colours and badge, made terrible decisions, shows ignorance and disrespect to the paying customers of the club, and has signed the cheques for his employees only to blame them. I could go on....Why wouldn't I want him gone?

Question to everyone saying yes, where do you think a new owner will come from to buy Tan out if we did drop out of the prem? Seeing as we will be in a large amount of debt and no longer a premiership club. There wasn't many offers when we needed them before.

Totally agree with this. All these tan out people dont realise that you need someone wanting to buy the club for tan to leave

Spot on. If the club go down, Tan will have no choice but to stay. If it stays up, the guy could be gone in a few years.

Funny thing is, shirt colour and badge aside, Tan has done nothing different to some other much praised foreign owners. It's a known fact that Chelsea's owner has signed players he personally wanted at the club, and it's been reported in the past that he has influenced team selections. He also goes into the changing room too, doesn't he?

So do I want Tan gone? No way. He has a lot to learn about football, and has probably trusted the wrong people with certain jobs in the past (letting Mackay and Moody sign off all the transfer deals, etc, if true), but otherwise he's doing a bang up job. The PR side of the club needs work, but this is football and the media soon move on to the next club in crisis.

Ultimately, all the people wishing we go down, or protesting saying "Tan out", are 100% ruining their main objective: to get back in blue. Let's not fool ourselves, that's what it's about. 99% of people would happily keep Tan if team were back in blue.

Thing is, if I was Tan and there were fans protesting against me and telling me to get out of the club, I'd happily say "you can go f**k yourselves if you think in gonna turn you back blue now!"

The protests need to be about the shirt colour, not about Tan. He can be forced a little on that matter. Telling him to get out of the club is NOT going to work in the slightest.
