i was sat next to the boys with this banner and the stewards tried to take it off em so we all had to throw it around each other or they would of taken it from us.

Why the hell would they do this nothing wrong with saying a big thankyou to malky for the service he gave to the club.

it's not something I considered but I can see the logic in that rule, but how many clubs enforce the rule as strictly?Would 'our' club allow a giant banner saying 'thank you Malky' or 'back to blue' before the game or during half time? If you are honest you must admit this has little to do with adopting a sensible rule, more about stifling the opinion of lickle people in the stands.

For instance, do you think stewards were briefed to remove banners more stridently since this blew up. Or are they simply acting on rules made up years ago in exactly the same way as 18 months ago?
