Why is Solksjaer so attactive..?

Sat Dec 28, 2013 1:25 pm

He has no experience at this level. Ok he wins the League in Norway which isn't any better than the Scottish League yet this guy is allowed to spend a further £25 million!!!!! Its f*cking madness in my book and has failure written all over it

In all fairness I think he'd be good :ayatollah:

He played under Alex Ferguson so maybe he took some advice from him :ayatollah:

fergie tipped off tan on when he come to cardiff.
prob something along the lines of solskjaer with sven as director of football could be good for the club going forwards without malky

A student of the game. He was highly effective as a sub because he watched the game and understood when he came on where the gaps in the oppositions defence were, season after season this is not luck.

Won a lot with the united reserve team which probably isn't that difficult but still did it. Won the league in Norway with a team of no history of winning things...

Oh, and scored the winner in the champions league final for Man U vrs Bayern so will help Tan IPO (if we are still in the premier)

You thinking it would be a failure is just as mad as those thinking it would be a success.
Truth is, no one truly knows

He won the league twice in Norway and the cup once.

And seem so you compared it to the Scottish league then it's likening winning it twice with St.Mirren( Molde) finishing above Celtic( Rosenberg). Some achievement don't you think.

Also managed under Fergie, was Manchester United reserve manager for a few years.
He is a risk but something has to be done.

Ideally I would go for Hoddle, if he wants to go with a Non-UK manager then Murat Yakin

Thinking about it objectively Solksjaer would be the next phase of the rebrand, particularly with his ex United connections. Makes us more marketable to the East (at least in Vincent's eyes). Just an opinion.

Are we really in the position to give an apprentiship to a young manager then..?

That or we a give the job to a manager who is out if work, which usually the reason is because they failed at their previous job (except Malky).

FC Basel have done far better than Molde in European Competition and have had some goodresults against bigger names and with not much of a playing budget

You're right there, played well to against both Chelsea and Spurs. Imagine he joins us and brings Salah in January. Can't compare Molde and Basel in Europe though, Basel are a much better side and a bigger club.
