Reality v Forum Opinions - How does it compare?

Sat Dec 28, 2013 11:20 am

How does all of the AAMB/CCMB goings-on compare to how you discuss the City with your mates at the match/at the pub/at home??

To be fair, not much of my city discussions match the overwhelming Anti-Tan approach on the boards.

How about you guys?

Just some topics;

BEFORE THE SHITE OF THE LAST FEW WEEKS;
The few I've spoken to down the City this season, the feeling has tended to be the football has been shite but, we've managed to get some good results.

The feeling was we're destined for the bottom 3 in January.
Malky doesn't really know how to get a team to play attacking football. Could be time for a new manager soon.
Taylors been pants, back 4 look slow and will be found out soon.
Medal has been our best player, we also need Helpers in the side.
We should be giving Cornelius a run out.
The colour change was still hot topic, with us wearing something Blue to games.

AFTER THE RECENT SHITE EVENTS;

Surprised at the amount we spent.
Cornelius is shockingly shite.
Time now to just sack Malky and get on with the rest of the season.
Malky playing the media too much recently
Nobody wants Sven, and not too certain OGS can do a job.
How the hell couldn't we score against The Saints in the second half after they'd totally taken their foot off the gas.
Attacking optiins needed badly
Corners have gone to shite

Agree with the obvious missing topic being Tan Out which I've rarely if ever discussed with other City or non City supporters. Clearly for the majority we see his presence as more beneficial than not.

Hopefully we'll see a seed change in posts on here soon to.

theirs no escaping the fact they fucked up. No matter how much management pedigree malky has they spent badly and it has cost us goals.
And our away form has been horrifying at times we may of lost 6-0 or 7-0 against sides like norwich if it wasnt for marshall and the woodwork

The forums are a small percentage of fans. I know a lot of fans that will not post or even read

I don't blame them eighty_8, there's so many warped views on here. 80% of stuff posted on message boards is absolute garbage.

That's not saying those that don't read or post on message boards are any wiser though. I just think football fans in general are pretty stupid and base opinions on little knowledge of the reality of situations. I think we can all admit we've got something wrong in hindsight.

Nail on the head
I read so much sh*t on here it's unreal

But, Football is all about opinions and that's what forums are for and there are some good points made by a lot of posters.

With regards to reality vs forum opinions, I was just saying in another thread that we (as a whole) are so fickle

We change our minds every week on a lot of subjects

Yeah, that's a very good point, that the forums are worthwhile for the decent posters there are. I regularly disagree with the likes of Craig and Polo but we have the mutual respect and intelligence to debate things reasonably. I find it amusing when people have no backing to their argument and just resort to abuse and unfounded facts.
