Malky must take some of the blame

Sat Dec 28, 2013 10:23 am

At last things seem to becoming more clearer after reading the Mail online exclusive, and I have to admit some of the add ons make my eyes water, I am now starting to understand why Tan was so pissed off with the recruitments overspend.

You need to ask yourself this if this was any other business and the sort of money was not being accounted for or a budget overspend of this magnitude was in evidence would the people responsible still be in jobs ?.
The problem is some people are using Malkys sacking to push the rebrand issues and not because our football and results became dire .

This isn't any other business though.

The football was dire at times. Good football hadn't got us promoted either.

Add ons are a part of football. Whoever signed the deals off has to go too and there is absolutely no way that part of things was left to MM and IM. If they wanted to sack MM for whatever reason then they should just have done it, not treated it like some playground fight.

MM played the media in the end for a get out clause and I don't blame him.

The rebrand issue has been burning since day one, this episode is surely more than just about MM being sacked and more about the way the club is being run in certain areas. The more f**k ups you make the more the unrest grows.

It also makes claims CEO Simon Lim had to sign them off. Papers will print anything at times. Does anyone honestly believe that IM was left in charge of that sort of money? He'd have been as well putting a deal together for Messi while he had the chance. The club is the one airing dirty linen now. The whole episode is a shambles.
