STEWARDS STOPPING KIDS BRINGING FOOD INTO GROUND

Sat Dec 28, 2013 10:14 am

The stewards are stopping people bringing food into ground as they want the food to be bought inside.
At today's game (Southampton) they stopped a bloke in front of me with a knife and they said "I hope your not planning on making sandwiches with this sir)

Well they obviously haven't been doing a good job then every game I see 5pr 6 people with KFC boxes plus another 2or 3 with subway etc.

Plus I usually take a bag of crisps for halftime and my dad had taken a flask of soup the last 2 games.

F*ck the gastapo, my turkey sarnies would've been up his arris. If there's no signs saying only food costumed on these premises etc. then they got feck all to go on. He would've been bouncing down the steps of the bob bank if this happened years ago.

I cant understand how we live in a free Country and have to be told what we may eat. So if you are a bit short as many of us are either go hungry or dont come to CCS.

Are we talking about taking food into the stadium here or the outside of the ground?

Into the stadium

They stop you taking mcdonalds/KFC

You wouldn't walk into a restaurant and open up a packed lunch on there tables so why should you be able to eat food from outside in the ground when they are providing and paying for a service ?

You cannot expect to take a KFC into the stadium that's just common sense, if you could I'd take a box of 20 in every game

Of course i was talking about being sensible though.
Me and the Mrs are pensioners so not having to spend extra money is really important to us , we have always brought food in the last 3 years and never once have been challenged so why start now?

People should probably have a think before saying that the UK is a free country.

We're about as free as our money or the law allows.

We aren't free whatsoever.

Banning food is obvious, the same as any cinema etc.

Simple solution here... just do what me and my mate always have done and that's go to Subway or KFC before kick off. We sneak anything else in.

It's not something I like but I don't really blame the club for their attitude. It's not like they're banning you from eating at these places. They are out to make money and if this is a way of doing then so be it. Doesn't make a difference to me.

But the club have contracted the catering out so they have no interest!!!
