Do We Need The Stadium Expansion?

Sat Dec 28, 2013 8:20 am

With the sacking of Malky, the way that the club have conducted themselves, the re brand, etc, how many fans are we likely to lose at the end of the season particularly if we lose our fight with relegation. I do not think that we will be relegated unless we cannot get in a decent manager and a few new recruits but anything is possible.

The club introduced Gold and Silver membership so clearly there is a 'reserve' of fans there ready to fill upcoming ST holder spaces however with all the ongoings and potentially relegation how many more fans will call it a day at the end of the season? This should be a season that we all cherished after 51 years out of the top flight however it's like being in a circus. Do some fans believe enough is enough?

If we get ogs or another good manager it'll all be forgotten in a week or two.
With money to spend in January we have a good chance of staying up and with our waiting list for st we'll need those extra seats, you have to plan for success, the expansion is needed.

The johnny come latelys and the plastics will call it day, can't see us filling out a 33k or whatever capacity it will be in the championship.

No. If Tan wasn't throwing his toys around every few days and we stay up with Malky in charge, then it would be beneficial. But as it stands we'll likely be getting relegated playing in front of 18,000. If we do stay up we'll hardly ever reach 33,000, after what's gone on

So when season tickets go on sale in February you think that the club will only sell 15,000 odd?

Don't be daft.

The club will shift at least 25,000 season tickets before March so which league we're in next season will be irrelevant. It really wont have a huge impact on the crowd due to the early sale of season tickets. At worst, if we're relegated we'll maintain a 25-28k crowd thanks to these season ticket sales.
