For the sunderland game tomorrow

David Kerslake and Joe McBride will take charge of Cardiff for Saturday's Barclays Premier League clash with Sunderland after Malky Mackay was relieved of his duties.

Kerslake has served as Mackay's assistant manager at the Bluebirds, while McBride holds the role of first-team coach.

The decision was confirmed by the club in a statement which read: "David Kerslake and Joe McBride will be taking charge of the team for the match against Sunderland on Saturday December 28th at Cardiff City Stadium."

Kerslake recently stood in for Mackay at a heated press conference when the Scot's future was under intense scrutiny.

On Friday, Mackay left the club after two-and-a-half years in charge of the Bluebirds.

Theirs a chance if they say right boys you know the drill play how you have played and stick to the plan.

We would be good enough to beat sunderland.
But we need to drop odemwingie

Drop Odemwingie - he must be the biggest bust to date.

I would start Cornelius & FC & put Declan John / Hudson in the back 4

We must be forward not defensive thinking!!!!!!

Comments please ?

Drop odemwinge for sure.
Drop whitts
Drop Turner
Drop Taylor
Drop Gunnarson

Marshall

K T C. caulker. Hudson. John

Bellamy. Medal. Mutch. Noone

Campbell Cornelius

Simply 4-4-2

Providing Bellamy and medal are fit.

Bellamy seems to be able to get the most out of players around him!

And Thursday showed how much we missed medal just breaking up play!

And IMO Cornelius will only improve given the opportunity.

Having said all of the above, will kerslake really make wholesale changes? Would've thought the starting team would be one that he and Makay had already discussed.

I can recall us playing 442 twice in two and a half years, they were the last two home games. 451 is/was the drill is why change it.

451 can be attacking if it turns into 433 with the correct personnel, but if our flanks is Whitts & Cowie we are doomed.Hopefully its Noone and Bellers

Any ideas what's up with Bellers?

We need him in, as said above, he lifts and drives the players around him. Dare I say it, even Taylors form might even improve!!

As for formation, I agree we should stick to 4-5-1......but, to be fair I've never seen us take to a set shape/formation, we always seem all over the place. I think this is down to 'defend for your lives' tactics.

Today needs to be all about the players putting the boxing day game behind them and showing we can score goals.

Kersdale looked like a bit of a drip in that press conference he had to do before the Liverpool game......let's hope he's fired up for today after Malkys exit.

Can't see them doing any different and they may well be moved on too once the new manager comes in.

Negative subs cost us yet again.
Let's hope the new manager knows what to do.
